xuhu··on Wireshark 4.0.0 has been released
Is duplicating a window with its current trace possible in this new release ? It would make forward navigation as well as returning to a packet/conversation/applied filter work like browsing a website or a codebase or a filesystem.
xuhu··on Fork of the popular “I don't care about cookies” extension
It would be awesome if Avast moved the extension source code to Github or somewhere else public. I hope existing users won't settle blindly for whatever changes get added from now on.
xuhu··on 134.5 kg Concrete Bike [video]
And the reason it's easier to make than a wooden bike is that you can take a normal bike and pour concrete onto each element.

xuhu··on Auto Traffic Control – A gRPC Programming Air Traffic Control Game
Since planes go where your code tells them to go, is there a way to combine old trajectories with the possibly different ATC game's directions ?
xuhu··on BMW heated seats subscription costs $18 per month in South Korea
Are you paying Intel $18 per month for your extra cores ?
xuhu··on Tiny Core Linux 13.0 is a full Linux desktop in 22 MB
Is it 22 MB because it's 2022 ? In 2011, TinyCore iso was 11 MB.
xuhu··on How does a cowbird learn to be a cowbird? (2016)
At some point they must realize, "I'm different, these are not my people, I must find others that are like me".
xuhu··on Red Hat RHEL 9 release
AWS or EC2 appear 13 times in the article, maybe it's just an emphasis on cloud vendors they were after.
xuhu··on Consent-O-Matic: Automatic handling of GDPR consent forms
"""In most cases, it just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). It doesn't delete cookies."""
xuhu··on Are smartphones serving as adult pacifiers?
Which is why we don't judge a race based on individuals but rather of a population of them.

What does the population average of <insert race here> look like ?

xuhu··on Dell deletes Latitude CPU Throttling issue after link is posted here
If you mean E6430 (model from about 2014), mine isn't throttling. It does get hot though.

> I think journals are now in a situation similar to the one of app stores [only without the costs, and with all the benefits].
xuhu··on What is the wavelength of magenta? (2019)
Some articles don't introduce anything really surprising, for example with a "how to create containers using syscalls directly" you expect a meat-and-potatoes kind of content. But this article does introduce something surprising (to me at least). So I'm willing to forgive the abrupt end, as well as the choice to not use a literal color wheel for illustration.
xuhu··on Approved Cameras
It would be like asking to see Facebook's algorithm for the news feed.

xuhu··on Ask HN: Is the proliferation of Linux distros harming the Linux ecosystem?
The kernel is like the ICE of cars. There is so much more than the kernel going on in a distro, that it's amazing there are less mainstream distro's than there are car manufacturers.
