Like some have said, you're not being evil by making all new FEATURES to only in the paid app. Alternatively, you could make this app as full-featured as possible, and make the new app for multiple platforms only. What do you think is the right thing to do, both for yourself (how much time and money do you have?) and your audience?
A way to promote the new app inside the old app:
- Add a button that says, "new features!" that you keep updated whenever you 1) release new bug fixes or features to either the regular or the beefed up version. This way, all users of the regular app will stay updated on whats going on in both the regular and the beefed up versions. Many of them will buy the beefed up version.
That said, I think adding support for other social networks may be a fair unlock. How about a "Social Lite+"? A separate paid app that supports more social networks?
Yes, in public the men and women may be segregated, but behind closed doors, wives and husbands talk and plan. Although not always obvious, it is very likely that their husband's social and economic stature is bolstered by activities of their wives, which according to this article have no value.
His social and economic standing because of her actions is probably much higher than if they were to both have a separate job. Not to mention that they get to raise children who get to spend plenty of time with at least one parent, the value of which is almost never taken into consideration these days.
Turns out that people need to communicate during calamities and often prefer text and so do services that are delivering services to these people.
For business, the value of reliable delivery, timely and increased customer engagement tends to far outweigh the costs.
Passion can be kindled, that's for certain, but after a certain point it must come from within.
For some classes, students stopped going to class and studied on their own.
Tying up loose ends and closing up shop for a couple of months would not be out of the question.
Best wishes!
In fact, I think cycling at night is safer because my flashing lights and reflectors are in their eye. During the day, I just blend into the background. This is also why I keep my car's lights on when driving in the day.
We can have a hackathon where:
- The costs are split up by the number of participants.
- A bunch of teams participate.
- Everyone builds whatever they want, and they own it.
- There can be multiple show-and-tells, to allow teams to ask / answer questions, get to know each-other, and iterate.
- Everyone walks away having made some wonderful new friends, having learned a thing or two, and also maybe even some useful code.
If someone else is organizing, and you're participating for free, then it will always come with strings attached. Remember, if you're not the customer, then you're the product!
