In fact, I do have one similar to progress bars. Have a look at the skills section in home page (http://veerasundar.com) where I show a strength bar for each skill.

When I ported the skills section, I just decided not to include the progress bar.. may be I should add it there too.

+1 on the send button placement. Also when I clicked on the emotiocons, I was expecting a popup to open right below the icon. But the emoticons panel opened up in the left sidebar, totally hiding the to list.

But, I do like the Metro UI, though. Clean!

Same problem here. Switched to DuckDuckGo as the default search engine and now it works fine.

One of the reason why I loved Launchy[1] so much. That little program drastically reduced the need to use the mouse and launch/find any application with just a few keystrokes.

Even, Ubuntu 11 has similar functionality with Unity. But,it's searching capability is little disappointing, though.
