It would be like saying having a couple of recreational beers on a Friday causes liver failure. It doesn't. Drinking a bottle of whiskey every day for an extended period of time, perhaps.
Same with Ketamine
Aztecs - Mexico Maya - Guatemala and neighbouring countries.
a) making these illegal b) once forced to legalise, labelling it as such
I may be getting confused with another case, but I recall some trade episode as such
Are you sure about that? Could it not come under incitement / planning
The US does sometimes come under unfair criticism for being the cause of all evil, when the reality is a lot more nuanced, but when you are sitting on top the pile, everyone is gunning for you.
However, as the parent comment pointed out, the US has been "involved" in many coups / destabilising existing governments. Do you think the US would help out in French / British coups if it wasn't in their interest?
Everyone sees themselves as the good guys, everyone justifies what they do as the right thing from the biggest empires down to the smallest country. American, British, Soviets back through all European empires to Romans and beyond.
This whole good vs evil of the current global empire and the war names they give to operations is laughable. Yet they say it with a straight face and it is lapped up by those who get their news solely / mainly from the mass media
I can think of 6 democratically elected socialist leaning governments attacked / disposed of by the US and US based interests and am barely knowledgable of Latin American politics
2) goto 1
Pretty much covers it I reckon
Anyone can learn to code, it isn't hard what we do. Granted some do push the boundaries, but that is a tiny % of what actual programmers do
Perhaps if you are spending millions on adwords, you "might" get some customer service, but I doubt then it will be great
I am not aware of any other trades / industries where people work on things to give away for free in their own time (and even be expected to do so in order to get a job)
We terrorise you, you terrorise us. Only difference is we kill you in far greater numbers than you can ever dream of.
The war on terrorism will end when a new enemy can take it's place. The smart money is on China, but don't never count the Red Menace out, good outside bet they come good at the last minute.
Bomb the hell out of the Syrians? Surely they have suffered enough.
Iraq III? Maybe this time.... maybe....
Send the ground troops into Saudi? Quatar?
Acknowledging that some of ISIS / Al-Qaeda gripes do have some merit, stop interfering in other countries affairs, stop propping up dictators because they are "our" dictator.
Something else?
Unfortunately for the Syrians, my money is on bomb the hell out of them, trying to limit the number of "collataral damage" of dead women and kids, but hey, not our fault.
And so we go round the merry go round again.
Wish I never bothered, that is a hassle you just don't need. Getting it up and running so it just works is a hassle enough.
Thinking of going on holiday and want auto responses? You better plan that about a month in advance to figure it out :-(
As you may tell, I am thinking of moving to fastmail for domain email hosting
None of "get your free copy sign up now", none of the "do you want to upgrade".
China, US, India, Pakistan, Russia.....
Obviously you mean their "terrorist" attacks on us. Clearly, more people have been killed by either sides "terrorist" attacks. When we drop bombs on 3rd world villages, or fund armies to do it for us, those villages consider it a "terrorist" attack, regardless of whether "we" refer to it differently in the press - protection of interests, operation freedom, operation democracy spreading.
Please don't be so closed minded that only "they" are terrorists and "we" are the good guys, everytime without fail. The use terror tactics has been a part and parcel of our militaries since the time the military was created.
We are all as bad as each other
The people I have known who are truly that good are humble about it. Those who are not humble, IME are never as good as they think.
I would expect that, as the interviewers did not instantly bow down at this guys superior knowledge. This write write up is his personal interpretation of what the interviewers thought - why else would they not give him the job?
Interviewers perspective. "This cocky guy comes in, tells us everything we do is wrong, that he can improve everything we do, literally laughs and derides our working. In the end I walk out."
Just seems so contrived and fake to me :-\
They're probably a cheese eating surrender monkey and don't realise the good you are doing by trying to force your skewed version of "freedom" on to them
So would I probably.
Rats living freely in their natural habit - probably different story
