I've seen three of the videos in it so far. Seems like an ok course for the ~25 USD I paid for it.
I upvoted you for your link, but actually the argument that it would be good because people who care more will make a better decision than those who don't does not completely convince me. Someone could care a lot about something but still have the wrong idea about it.
Absolutely agree with your point about reaching a stage where not so many big changes are necessary though.
It's open source at the moment at least and I think it's reasonable to expect at least that the parts that are open source today will remain so in the future. Certainly they could have a commercial version with extra features like they do with Nginx, but as long as they have a useful version of this Nginx Unit available open source I will be happy to use it.
> In particular, MINIX was chosen as the basis for the operating system (previously, ThreadX RTOS had been used). Now ME firmware includes a full-fledged operating system [...]
Woah, did I read that correctly? That there is a version of MINIX running inside of the Intel processors of presumably almost every modern computer with an Intel CPU that has Intel ME in it? If so then that's insanely cool! I mean I still dislike Intel ME itself and wish I could disable it easily and without risking damage/destruction but the idea of there being a version of MINIX running on my computer right now is quite cool.
Reminded me of a usenet post from years ago but can't find it now, anyone know which one I mean?
While looking for said usenet post I found something else though, here: https://www.slashdot.org/story/18304
The viewport meta tag is part of what makes RWD possible. [2] The viewport meta tag does not relate to PiP in any way that I can imagine.

Did they actually do an "ICO" or was it showing as "finished" from the get-go?
Let's find out!
30 seconds later.

So they did but apparently nobody sent them any money, unless they also used some other addresses.
Another 60 seconds after that.
Actually they have a link on the current https://uetoken.com leading to https://etherchain.org/account/0xbe5c1c298d0088886146a906cdf... with 23562 txns total at the moment. Wonder if any of it was legit and if he got any money out of it.
Solaris lives on in illumos and forks of it.
Whoops lol. That's what I get for not double-checking that I pasted correctly hehe.

I'm doing a project soon involving a Raspberry Pi. I've used rpi for various things before but the different thins time is that it's going to be installed at the location of a client. I am quite nervous that the microSD card will fail. For my own stuff I can easily write the image to a new card and it doesn't matter. But with a client where they expect the thing I'm making to work it would be painful to have it fail.
Is there some ready-made Linux distro for Raspberry Pi that is extremely small in size and which is made to load it whole self into memory and not write back to the SD card at all? It'd be extremely helpful to know about it if any such distro exists. Preferably it should be based on Rasbian just slimmed down and with logging etc removed. That way the kernel itself would be more reliable so that it won't crash randomly for reasons that have otherwise been fixed in Raspbian but which might not be in an independently maintained kernel.
Absolutely agree. I'm just saying that even if they were I think it'd be hard to measure attractiveness objectively because different people have different likes and dislikes.
However you probably are right that there are features that are considered attractive by almost everybody and that we just overlook those.
For example on two different occasions when I was hanging with two different friends of mine we looked at Tinder profiles of women on my phone and both of them had almost the exact same reaction when I started swiping; "wow, you and me have really different taste in women!"
In both cases I was swiping on the women that I found to look the most attractive. Previously I might have thought that everyone would agree that these women were attractive.
- On desktop you get useful error messages like for example "you're doing that too much, try again in x minutes". On the mobile web version it's just a generic message that is of absolutely zero help.
- You get to see the score of your posts (good) on your profile but to see the score of your comments you have to click on an individual comment. Bad!
For example if on mobile you go to a subreddit to make a post it will present you with the self post and the link post option regardless of the settings of the subreddit. So you write a long post and post it, only to get told sorry this subreddit doesn't allow self posts, or you post a link and you spend a lot of time typing in the title only to get told sorry no links allowed. WTF?? It's beyond ridiculous that they show the option of making a post in a subreddit where it does not apply.
It doesn't stop there. The whole thing is very disappointing :(
