udayrddy··on Show HN: Tool I created to covert tabular data to a 'pretty' table
Was this complicated to others or easy to us - attached the https://extracttable.com conversion for you.

https://ExtractTable.com - Looking for a marketing/business co-founder to tie up with companies that offer data services
udayrddy··on Show HN: Calculate your chances of getting a work visa to live in top countries
That is definitely a helpful service. Here are some suggestions.

Provide the metrics considered for the score

Consider suggestions on how to improve the score

Why email id when you are not ready with a premium service to offer
udayrddy··on Ask HN: Who's Looking for a Co-Founder?
I'm interested to have a chat.

Data Scientist by profession - dealt only with NLP

  built models saved 300K/yr
awaiting approval - brings a new 8M at 10% market capture

Worked at a leading mass tort (300 people) company recently acquired by a bigger settlement company (10k+).

Reason for switching is the snail pace now.

Side projects:

  extracttable.com - image processing

  notyce.me - NLP

  nextround.ml - NLP

udayrddy··on Ask HN: Can Spamming Help?
I agree, but I consider those are the users who didn't opt or not aware of "DO NOT SPAM" sign-ups.
udayrddy··on Ask HN: Can Spamming Help?
I will be cautious in sending out emails and analyse the responses before heading.. Thanks much, Jermy( "Developing tools in the SEO")
udayrddy··on Ask HN: Successful one-person online businesses?
My definition of "Success" at this point (launched 4 apps earlier never tried to generate revenue) is generating revenue. Launched couple of months back - https://extracttable.com adding paid clients at an average of 3-4 per week.
udayrddy··on A Forty Year Career
If I were to produce a movie with the tag "based on true incidents", this will be it - connects almost every one in my network. Thanks a ton for drafting that.
udayrddy··on Show HN: Blackjack Break, a minimal quick-play blackjack game
this is slick
udayrddy··on Show HN: Python library to extract tabular data from images and scanned pdfs
The motivation is to make it easy for developers to extract tabular data from images or scanned PDF files without worrying about the table area, column coordinates, rotation et al.
udayrddy··on Show HN: Get related terms to a given term
Your js is breaking - searched for "Data Science"

`Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read property 'join' of null`

udayrddy··on Show HN: Zigpoll – Embeddable polling widget for websites
That was THE coolest design. Couple of weeks back, I integrated feedback collection (using fadeIn css) into the service we offer, definitely, this looks way cooler, and gets more user attention - unlike ours.

Unsure, if I would like to put the my customer details in other apps, also, from the Plans, I did not notice any option to push the collected feed into an endpoint, which might be a good option to consider.

Good Luck.

udayrddy··on Ask HN: A feasible way to collect dollar payment?
Well almost all Payment Gateways charge the same in that aspect, and thus I end-up 62%.

A chance of syndicate transaction processing ? Like do not charge until the balance accumulate to 100$ and charge all at once?

OR

Something like Venmo for Business but with no transaction fee (like 0$ Venmo User transfer)

udayrddy··on Show HN: Templatify.io – HTML to Pdf API
Aah, Got it !! Thanks for explaining it.

Btw, "what do you use" I meant for documentation. Did you use any API service that generates documentation? I used postman for ET, no complains - but I would like to have the option of changing the Coding language at the console screen not at the top of screen, like it is in postman, now.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Templatify.io – HTML to Pdf API
Steve, Thanks for the love and trying it. Yeah, I've gone through the email, thanks much for it. Thought of replying to your email (by EOD), after resolving the issue.
udayrddy··on Show HN: JavaScript spreadsheet web component (HTML/DOM) – New version
Aaahhhh, this is something I was looking for. Thanks a ton.

From the GitHub issues, looks like the team is little hesitant to support JSON input support by default, which I think might lead to a negative effect (especially in the coming years, APIS EVERYWHERE) with someone forking and supporting the native JSON.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Templatify.io – HTML to Pdf API
Unsure on how I can use this, the look is slick. I like the documentation page, may I please know what do you use - I want to use in my services as well.

But, DO NOT expect users to Sign-up first to try what it does. My experience with SAAS products (I created https://extracttable.com and nextround.ml, notyce.me) is the high visit to sign-up conversion when you provide a demo UI on the site, with NO SIGN-UP needed, upfront.

Diff: extracttable without demo 29 sign-ups in 4 weeks + 0 paid, with demo 31 in 2 weeks + 18 paid users. Not just sign-ups you get the paying customers much faster than you would expect.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Select Sections from Images of Newspaper Clippings Using OpenCV, Python
So,you view the image using CV and write down the coordinates of the puzzle, put them in array and use CV to save the puzzle with different name.

Basically, you are cropping the image and saving it - which even a crappy cropping tool does. Do not consider this as a discouraging comment - programming can do better.

I understand you are looking for jobs and trying things. If I'm the hiring manager, I would rather prefer a candidate who found puzzle coordinates from the image bits/pixels and suggest cropping regions.

udayrddy··on Show HN: An API to find and extract text from images
So, I get only what I am looking for, in return I lost the whole bunch of other text which other OCR services offer.

What if the characters are incorrectly identified? like "Owl" as (O/0)(w/v)(l/i/I/1); i just missed everything and left with no chance of fuzzy finding things.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Advertise for free. $0 CPM. $0 CPC
Could you define "only relevant", please. I would not think of advertising mine on competitor vice-versa
udayrddy··on Show HN: I made a jobs board for developers without degrees
I agree, but how would you drive me as a recruiter to post the job here. "Hey, want some non CS degree developers" ?!

Honestly, not criticizing. Want to understand what if I was the founder of this.

udayrddy··on Launch HN: Dashblock (YC S19) – Turn Any Website into an API
did you mention WebSITE, not WebPAGE ?!!

Oh wow, instagram.com is on your youtube demo video thumbnail. Interested to know on how is it traversing the site, I do not think fb has put the usernames in public.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Publisheet – Publish Excel sheets as interactive web pages
brain

On it, Sam.

udayrddy··on Show HN: Publisheet – Publish Excel sheets as interactive web pages
except the last part of "edit it on mobile", you can achieve it with https://extracttable.com

Feel free to direct any questions to brain@extracttable.com

udayrddy··on Show HN: Hiring Process
That looks like a great content for job seekers. Can I use it on https://notyce.me, I'll make sure to credit you. I would also want to invite you to give it a try. The motivation behind being to look into their job seeking resume from the other end (as a recruiter), and provide suggestions to improve and keep up to the demand.

If you think it is useful, may I ask for notyce.me 's mention in your content, please?

udayrddy··on Show HN: I made a resume generator for developers
(because you being a recruiter/recruited a lot) Out-of-context, shamelessly plugging https://nextRound.ml to consider your feedback. To keep the thread precise to the OP, drop an email at uday@notyce.me (just in case you want to feedback) .
udayrddy··on Show HN: I made a resume generator for developers
Yay, on that "its spot on" although I do not understand on 16.6% Mobile App developer. Not sure what AI looked in there.

btw, you may need to look into https://notyce.me/resources/sometimes-its-not-you.html tells on the font types you should consider.

udayrddy··on Show HN: I made a resume generator for developers
I would definitely agree for "How much do job applicants get paid to apply for jobs?", not just with this, also with LinkedIn Job Seeker, and other automated tools "to build kickass resume". Expect tips not subscription.
udayrddy··on Show HN: I made a resume generator for developers
So, I'm looking into your sample resume at https://bytevitae.com/cv/bytevitae_sample.pdf. Unsure, if I understood "OPEN SOURCE" section means. Also, when I tried to copy your previous company name "Influencity" it is copied as "Inbuencity".

Care to see what I did with this resume using https://notyce.me? I validated it to check the resume's suitability in job market. Have a look https://ibb.co/sqqQ1yb

udayrddy··on Ask HN: Would you develop Android or iOS first?
You probably want to check the portion of target users. Suppose, in India, (https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/mobile/india) Android has biggest market share over 85% which absolutely makes sense to put more investment on it rather than any other.
