Most people do actually use the stick for platformers.

Whats so great about TortoiseHg?

With high density displays these days, 1080p on a 13" laptop or other smaller laptops is possible
tr4656··on Hands on with Apple’s Budget iPhone
Looking at their products (http://techdy.com/bear/), this just seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Its pretty much identical to the design of the HTC One and iPhone.

Looking solely at the products though, it seems pretty cheap (cheaper than Nexus 4 even for the specs) but probably has poor build quality. Not sure if they are being truthful about the having the Snapdragon 600 either.

tr4656··on Google paid AdBlock Plus to get its ads whitelisted
By disabling that feature, he would block all ads. However, he did say that he wants to support sites who rely on ad revenue. I don't think supporting Adblock Plus was what he was really concerned about.

What were the attacks on Ghostery? I seem to have missed them.
tr4656··on Google Reader is dead
What's wrong with Feedbin or Fever?
tr4656··on Square Market
Would Google buy Square? I doubt Google really wants to get into the offline payment market. If Google really want to fight Paypal as alternative online payment platform, it would be better for Google to buy Stripe.
tr4656··on Salt: Like Puppet, Except It Doesn’t Suck
Have you tried rbenv? Its easier to setup than rvm and doesn't take too long.
tr4656··on Salt: Like Puppet, Except It Doesn’t Suck
This is a pretty quick way of setting up basic vagrant boxes. Nice to see this exists.
tr4656··on Salt: Like Puppet, Except It Doesn’t Suck
Ansible with Fireball wouldn't use SSH but rather 0mq.
tr4656··on A funny case of using the PC
Theres always time to learn. You can always try experimenting via VMs on your main computer or simply reading. I can't imagine that RasBMC would be too hard to set up considering its more or less GUI based.
tr4656··on A funny case of using the PC
Not sure if you are being sarcastic for the sake of being sarcastic or are actually serious.
tr4656··on ASUS Launches Monitor with 3840 x 2160 IGZO Display
That's not relevant to what he's saying.
tr4656··on Leaving Google’s silo: Alternatives to Gmail, Talk, Calendar, and more
Theres a coupon so that its around ~$2.79 a month for the 256MB OpenVZ one. That should probably be enough.
tr4656··on Ruby is too slow for programming competitions
It means using Ruby 1.9.3 patch level 194 took 3.7 seconds.
tr4656··on Development on a Chromebook: an opinionated guide
They won't have that large of an SSD because Google would want you to use Chrome OS using cloud services as opposed to local hard drive space. I doubt they will go above the 16GB or whatever it is that they currently have.
tr4656··on Sailfish – An open source mobile OS
Cyanogenmod is not an separate OS. It is just Android.
tr4656··on New lithium-ion battery design – 2,000x more powerful, recharges 1,000x faster
But nowhere does this article even talk about using this for smartphones or in any form of application.
tr4656··on Show HN: Hospice.io – Vagrant configurations generator
Pretty sure thats the only provider for Fusion.
tr4656··on Show HN: My all-nighter project to find the best Google Reader alternative
Agreed. I'm thinking of paying for Fever just so I can get an reader but haven't heard of many people using it before.
tr4656··on The Chromebook Pixel
Well the thing is that most people don't prefer Unity and neither do I. I don't really think that there are so many devs using Unity either.
tr4656··on A month after switching to Macs
What do you dislike about Finder?
tr4656··on Ruby gems are still not safe to use
Because Ruby is something they use and they want to fix the problem. If they don't highlight the problems, nothing will get solved.
tr4656··on Intel’s Profit Falls 27% as PC Sales Drop
Nexus 7 isn't enough for a grandma?
tr4656··on Dropbox releases Windows 8 client
Well, it really only makes sense to not put a higher priority if the main target user base would be desktop users. However, if they are trying to target Surface RT users or something similar, it would make a lot of sense to go for something that works right now because desktop mode is pretty much unusable without mouse/trackpad.
