Thanks for posting what seems to be the only sensible comment in this entire thread.

It has helped me a lot at times too, even helping a little with long covid/post-viral symptoms, sample size of 1 but it really doesn’t hurt to try
throwaway378037··on London’s historic Smithfield Market meets a new chapter
Farringdon to Smithfield is about a 3-4 mins walk up Cowcross Street, pretty convenient
throwaway378037··on London’s historic Smithfield Market meets a new chapter
I lived in Clerkenwell and the Barbican from teenage through mid 20s and I loved walking through the market. Sometimes if up early or pulling an all nighter to study I’d go walk there at 4am to see all the traders in action. This is truly a damn shame.

throwaway378037··on Quitting the rat race
Keep trying to leave London for the countryside or the sea where I grew up, keep on finding myself back here. I just miss the city too much when I’m away. Countryside and sea are so beautiful but I need the buzz around me
throwaway378037··on Ask HN: How to restore cognition after years of trauma? I feel slow and dumb
I’m 11 days into a full elimination diet right now, and also 5 weeks with no sugar wheat, dairy or alcohol. It hasn’t turned my life around, but I feel 10x better already. It’s a really good thing to do - but difficult.
throwaway378037··on Spookz – decentralized streaming platform for gamers

throwaway378037··on The benefits of ‘Dry January’ last longer than a month, studies show
https://archive.ph/LCkje

I had to give up alcohol (not a big drinker) and caffeine and sugar and wheat and dairy (those 4, regular consumer) due to a skin condition that they were triggering. Been a couple months now. It’s still hard (particularly coffee and sugar) but I feel very different. I feel a lot better, but the cravings are intense still. I plan to keep it up now for the duration.

throwaway378037··on Ask HN: What tech advice are you giving to those around you for 2023?
Stop using LastPass
throwaway378037··on Threeuk is blocking Tutanota
Once again I will say that ThreeUK is the worst UK network.

I switched to EE and it’s been a breeze. Giffgaff was also good when I used it.

throwaway378037··on ThreeUK blocks access to encrypted provider Tutanota due to 'age restriction'
Three is also the worst network, switch as soon as you can

throwaway378037··on Ask HN: Have you ever had a changed-your-life moment?
Just saw this. Yeah it’s hard to describe. I took it a few times a year for about 7 years with a wonderful community in Europe and Brazil. I’m just a very different person now than when I started. Sometimes it was a fundamental shift, other times more gradual.

It sounds like you have a good approach though. I’m also not someone who drinks or takes drugs, and come at it more from the Pollan way of thinking. All the best

throwaway378037··on Ask HN: Why has quality of YouTube reduced drastically?
Personal curation and sharing with friends, best way to enjoy it now.

throwaway378037··on Ask HN: Have you ever had a changed-your-life moment?
Learning about ayahuasca in 2011, randomly when at a business lunch - the day after breaking up with my girlfriend - and taking it a year later for the first time

Changed my life fundamentally
