Admittedly I haven't tried many other options, except sidebery which was good but not quite there for me.
Vendors tried to sneak stuff in constantly, and unless you have a market manager who really cares and is constantly vigilant, vendors will resell stuff they have bought in bulk and are reselling at a markup.
Not all vendors of course, but like anything else there's always a handful of bad actors.
Weeks into my new job, the IT folks contacted me and asked "Uh, did you ever get your laptop?"
Add to that many apartment buildings share utility cost across the unit so there’s even less incentive.

Not dismissing the value of the series here, just saying the average would-be game developer likely does not have the same skillset as Casey and, unless creating game engines is the goal, would be better served by Unreal or Unity.
