I've been curious about leaving software but it really feels impossible. Theresa no careers that you can learn on the job and you need to go back for another 4year degree to maybe get into the entry level job,no guarantee though.

It's interesting people have this perspective, there are some Numbers that support it. But there endless layoffs, studios closing and it's impossible to get a game dev related job at the moment.

I am the complete opposite. I like my pseudo-anonymity (I figured with enough effort some one could figure out who I am) and the freedom to be an idiot or have a bad day online that comes with that.

The rejection was so generic and there's so much random bs that goes on it could be anything that lead to that result.

The 3d model generators that exist aren't that good, and it would need to make a model that can be animated and and then rig it. I don't think there's a point in tying because the small tasks can't be done yet.

Your job would be so much harder without those supposedly complex tools. Most of those listed help solve issues with multiple environments. What simple solution is there to that.

The craft of writing is part of the interesting part. The words you choose are important,same as brush strokes in a painting. Offloading the act of writing to llms takes away that whole part.
