taw-an··on GitHub was talking to Google but went with Microsoft instead
Perhaps I am a bit cynical, but why do you say Github "exist[ed] solely to provide a service to entire developer community"? They made money too.
taw-an··on Stack Overflow Isn’t Very Welcoming – It’s Time for That to Change
I'll believe they changed when I see it. Pretty sure it's not going to any time soon.
taw-an··on Supply and Demand Does a Poor Job of Explaining Depressed Wages
Typical Silicon Valley libertarianism - trying to solve critical policy issues with a new app instead of fixing the root cause.
taw-an··on Adopting a more active lifestyle could benefit your personality decades from now
is it possible to achieve happiness without inducing puke?
taw-an··on Technology Change Not the Culprit in Wages Falling Behind US Productivity Gains
There is no competition for wages, only a cartel effect. It's pretty simple.
taw-an··on Ask HN: Why do the things you are most afraid of?
Once you do it you'll realize there was nothing to be afraid of in the first place.
taw-an··on Things are going so well we’re doing a hiring freeze

taw-an··on Things are going so well we’re doing a hiring freeze
sure, but how do the employees feel about it? what happens when support work balloons but you have the same amount of staff?

this is just an excuse to extract more profits coated in technofounderbabble.

taw-an··on Ask HN: How do you stay focused while programming/working?
Prescribed stimulants.
taw-an··on Ask HN: Why did delicious.com fail?
Not sure why I got downvoted. I was the first comment and just trying to clarify which site the submitter was talking about (since he said "delicious.com").
taw-an··on Ask HN: Why did delicious.com fail?
del.icio.us ?
taw-an··on There Are No Houses for Amazonians

taw-an··on There Are No Houses for Amazonians
"That means that what Amazon is really looking for is something else: that special something."

Massive tax breaks and giveaways. That's all this is about. It's a dog and pony show to see who will fork up the most to buy in to the delusion that it will pay off somehow.

taw-an··on I Keep Quiet About Being a Cancer Doctor
a lot of these questions are awful, but "what do you do for a living" isn't a great question either.
taw-an··on Why Wages Aren’t Growing
"For unions to regain ground, governments will have to give them a nudge. Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich recommends Washington make it easier to form unions, impose harsher penalties on companies that fire organizers, and banish “right-to-work” laws in states that allow workers to benefit from unions without paying dues, considered a back door to weakening them."

Well no duh, we're in this mess because worker's powers have been completely gutted. But does he actually believe this current administration or Congress will give workers an inch?
