Twilio still is rock solid IMO. The issue is when sprint and T-Mobile merged as well as the backlash from the carriers dealing stir shaken. They rushed to create the campaign registry. It’s effectively made many normal sms use cases nearly impossible. What’s happened is the industry is being bogged down in regulations self imposed and directed by the feds
I kind of wish they did both... percentages are more helpful in understanding the impact (in this case to the company). But you're right in the case of layoffs a count is more meaningful... although i'd argue whether it's 1 or more the impact to the individual is the same and usually very negative.
I’m confused why it’s a choice… machine learning is like a sub set or computer science… you definitely should have a strong foundation in computer science and maybe as a masters degree focus on a specific area like machine learning. I’d argue for a bachelor’s degree you have to get the basics and then get a masters in something specific like machine learning.
Even better use esp long range and have a receiver device outside maybe powered via solar… connected to cell network… this way no additional networks exposed internally…
We definitely did block or at least make them less available, as I recall prior to the invasion RT was commonly on when walking into a hotel room or in Youtube recommendation lists. Post invasion in US I never see it in any hotels or recommended on Youtube... was it censored or maybe just wildly boycotted, not sure... but seems appropriate as a response to me

Browser APIs are actually pretty great. From good old DOM API like querySelector to BroadcastChannel and even navigator.locks - all super useful and there’s more…
I agree with most of this but I think we do recognize and every year we get smarter about how we handle it… I think it’s just very hard to see how we improve over a few years time scale… I remember in 1986 or 1987 my dad took us to his office I think it was cricket software in Pennsylvania and in the front of the very shiny new office was an extremely polluted stream. It was a bright red/orange color. I recall my dad telling us to avoid playing in the water and explaining that it was not supposed to be that color… years later and while much of the area that was farm land in PA is now homes and neighborhoods- I don’t believe such a stream exists…. That said plastic is still very hard thing to reduce in our environment already we see many more bio degradable examples of packaging being used and a lot of research into which plastics are harmful and ways to help reduce or mitigate the impacts… back in the 80s if it was known it was not talked about… progress is slow but if you care very deeply about it you should IMO go into research or engineering to do something positive about it. Understand why we use it and find good alternatives
