sushid··on Interview with Boris Cherny [video]
I mean if the model were really that good they'd be able to fix various TUI issues that have plagued claude code since last year.
sushid··on FreeInk: Open ecosystem for e-readers
Not parent commenter but I've been loving CrossInk after trying CrossPoint for a few days
sushid··on $100 AI Music Video: Claude Fable 5 vs. GPT-5.6 Sol
This is incredible! Did you make these yourself? I am familiar with remotion but this is a lot more than just splicing images, etc.

Did you use a skill library to make this?

sushid··on StubHub, CEO hit with ‘deceptive practices’ class action over mass scalping
It's not a simple buy/sell marketplace. There's no recourse for fans who purchase a confirmed ticket, only to find that the seller "doesn't have them" and see the same ticket relisted for higher if the price jumps. Stubhub prioritize these scalper relationships and doesn't meaningfully protect its buyers from getting screwed over.
sushid··on How to stop Claude from saying load-bearing
Are there any skills or publicly available repos that do what you claim here? I would love to learn to have it write better.

For me, my amateur attempt is having another LLM do a review loop to remove clearly offending phrases and a heuristic eval to change sentence structures to be more similar to mine, THEN my manual HITL loop to rewrite ~20% of the sentences anyway.

sushid··on Kernel anti-cheat is an overreach
Have you played games with a ton of cheaters? It's infuriating, and I'm glad that kernel-level anti-cheat makes it such that you can have an enjoyable gaming experience. Now, I no longer play competitive shooters due to my age, but this was a huge issue back in the day.
sushid··on "Don't You Just Upload It to ChatGPT?"
I'm sorry but it's just such a glaring caveat. And the fact that you don't speak French...

sushid··on Sagrada Família Lego set
This can only work in Japan and Germany, I imagine. Maybe in Korea/China/Singapore with severe financial penalties and deposits.
sushid··on Green card seekers must leave U.S. to apply, Trump administration says
https://guides.sll.texas.gov/immigration-law/visas-green-car...

A green card is literally not a visa

sushid··on eBay Rejects GameStop's $56B Takeover as Not Credible
How did you determine that? As someone who also buys old computer stuff from time to time, I wouldn't say they are collectibles.
sushid··on Boris Cherny: TI-83 Plus Basic Programming Tutorial (2004)
Completely off-topic, but I recall hearing that Boris spent some time in Japan before Anthropic, learning to make miso paste the traditional way while living there. Interesting to see that he's been interested in lacto-fermentation for decades now.
sushid··on Talking to strangers at the gym
Note that this totally depends on 1. how you say it and 2. who you say it to 3. how good looking/ugly you are.
sushid··on Where the goblins came from
You are absolutely right to call that out!
sushid··on How Ford burned $12B in Brazil (2021)
to Japan* I think
sushid··on Show HN: Han – A Korean programming language written in Rust
That's coming from a Spanish speaker used to the alphabet, QUERTY, etc. I imagine you'd find it much more difficult if C were written in Chinese or Arabic, for instance.
sushid··on What's working for YC companies since the AI boom
Windsurf was acquired for $3B by OAI and it's clearly the worse of the two. Cursor is trying to raise at a $10B valuation and has $300MM in ARR in less than two years.

So in short, yes, companies do appear to be showing some willingness to send Cursor their code, even with all the headache associated with getting a new vendor.

sushid··on Google is burying the web alive
If Google doesn't do this, people will slowly (or even quickly, who knows?) move to Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc. I know I personally would abandon Google entirely if it didn't summarize results and help me avoid the SEO slopfest.
sushid··on Launch HN: Nomi (YC X25) – Copilot for Sales
What's the $ per seat?
sushid··on Duolingo CEO tries to walk back AI-first comments, fails
What do you recommend?
sushid··on Show HN: 1 min workouts for people who sit all day
It's literally a free, ad-free app. If it were a website, I guarantee you HN would lambast it saying they could vibe-code it in 1 hour, it's not open sourced, etc. It's never enough for the naysayers.
sushid··on How we made our OCR code more accurate
Making OCR more accurate for regular text (e.g. data extraction from documents) would be useful; not sure how useful code transcription is
sushid··on Google AI Ultra
Why did you settle on ChatGPT and Grok? I paid annual for Claude and have Perplexity Pro via a promo but if I were to pick two, I think I'd personally settle for ChatGPT and Gemini right now.
sushid··on Metagenomics test saves woman's sight after mystery infection
Not to mention she swam in untreated water in the Amazon!!
sushid··on Why I stopped angel investing after 15 years, and what I'm doing instead
I mean, it's true. Those who can't do, teach.
sushid··on Bethesda Thinks Fan Remaster of Oblivion Is 'Very Special' and Supports It
What would you allow? Just one level deep? Two? All you'd be doing is incentivizing the creation of more proxies and more legal fees/inefficiencies to go along with it.
sushid··on Waymo and Toyota outline partnership to advance autonomous driving deployment
If you car crashed while using "FSD", who would be liable?
sushid··on The Kill-or-Be-Killed Fight for Crypto's Future
It's not. And an article doesn't have to come entirely from a person to be considered worth reading.
