Wow, just reading classical Arabic poetry was hard enough for me! It was one of the more frustrating genres of classical Arabic that I read. Having to look up every other word was just not my cup of tea. I did like some of al-Mutanabbi's stuff though. One of my old professors is legend in the field.

Apprenticeships give people more viable skills than probably 75% of majors at four year universities. The fact is that you have an enormous glut of college graduates who studied sociology, political science, and communication who can't find work in anything related to what they studied so they end up working at a tech company doing customer service, doing a nursing program, working as bartenders, or as we all know learning how to program.

Seems like UCSB is has come out nowhere in the past few years. When I was applying to college in California only about 10 years ago, I didn't even really consider UCSB because of its reputation as a party school and because it was ranked much lower than Irvine and Davis. I'm sure the recent Nobel prize win and this will affect it's reputation significantly.

Exactly, I still have no idea why anyone in the right mind would want to go to a mid tier private school that no one has heard of yet still charges the same tuition as Stanford and Harvard!

Has anyone had any experience with Amazon Web Store? Although I haven't tried it myself, one of the most appealing things about it is that the customer can use their amazon account and if you opt for the fulfillment by Amazon option (which is a different optional service), your customers can use their prime shipping account to get free two day shipping and Amazon takes care of the entire shipping process. Sounds like a killer feature but I was just wondering if anyone had any real experience with it.
