There were rumors they were going to launch an email service, then a basecamp competitor, then it was a race against iCloud and Google drive...
Honestly after cancelling my account I've never looked back. I get more storage per dollar with google and iCloud and the Dropbox macOS integration is a joke.
With all the acquisitions Dropbox has made in the past decade, they couldn't have created a more useful macOS app? Read a blog post by any former dropbox employee and you'll hear the same thing over and over:
Dropbox is littered with management problems and their leadership has no idea what the future of the company and will look like because cloud storage is a race to zero.
Increase merchant count, and integrate pickup into the rev stream. Later down the road I imagine Orderahead's app will be absorbed into Caviar (or vice versa) in some capacity.
This leads me to believe the app was rushed but apparently there's a version history I the App Store. I left as much feedback as I could through the app but man, yikes.
Texan living in NYC here. I disagree. I would happily pay to take a 6 hour train to Chicago over a flight anyday. LGA/JFK are nightmares to book last minute flights and high-speed rail is a favorable experience to flying sometimes.
In contrast, there's no "useful" rail network in Texas — at all. If there was a rail network, like the single-high speed line proposed between Dallas and Houston, it would totally dominate and disrupt. People fly to/from cities in Texas all the time.
There are many many cities that would benefit from a rail network because the cost would be considerably lower than flying. If you build it, they will come.

Reddit and Twitter operate in the same hemisphere of community-driven applications — so it is within the realm of possibility that Twitter would have to bring some sort of "Gold" subscription model to their platform (who knows maybe it will be more widely adopted at Twitter). But all-in-all, they're both fighting the same battles: censorship, ad revenue slumps, and user growth. [2] And those are not easy problems to fix.

Hartmut Esslinger prototyped the "MacPhone" in a study in 1984 after the success of the Macintosh. [1] Other prototypes in this series were part of the Snow White project. [2]

Project Snow White, as it was called, sought out to create a unified design language for a range of products (and to hopefully catalyze the engineers into creating new product categories).
Susan Kare designed the Chicago typeface in 1984. According to the Esslinger book the "MacPhone Study" was done in 1984 after the release of the Macintosh. [1]
