smit··on Show HN: A mostly complete 2014 "Tools of the Trade"
Awesome list.

I recommend adding ToutApp(http://toutapp.com) under sales tools.

smit··on How do you find summer internships?
Sorry for the plug but I just wrote an ebook which teaches you how to find a startup internship. You can check it out here: http://www.learntohustle.com/
smit··on Anyone looking for a Non-Technical Co-Founder in SF, Boston, or NYC?
You sound like a good fit for the CEO of a startup. Since you have a ton of savings why not try to start an idea based on your skills instead of waiting for a technical co-founder? Maybe a service business first.

smit··on Show HN: Kickpoll - One click multiple choice E-mail poll
You should put a tweet button so people can share the website. I like how simple it is to use it.
smit··on Ask HN: What are the best marketing resources as a developer running a Startup?
Every startup is different so it's hard to point to resources without knowing what customer acquisition channels work for you.
smit··on Kamcord (YC S12) - Networking and early traction
Guys these videos are an awesome concept but are they really helping your customer?

Just think what's going to make their life better or make them want to use your product.

smit··on Ask HN: Free Marketing Advice in Exchange for Help Finding Housing Palo Alto
I thought it would be better to make it short and sweet. What details would you suggest adding?
smit··on Ask HN: Cheap or free realtime web analytics?
Google analytics?
smit··on T-shirts for startups

smit··on How My Co-founder's Dog Boosted My Productivity
Pretty cool. If a pet can help become more productive, every startup should get one ;)
smit··on [dead]
Always love people who go beyond the traditional route to find a job.
smit··on I'm not Zuckerberg
Thanks! I agree he's done some awesome stuff for his age.
smit··on LevelUp is Down to Half Its Former Headcount, and Needs to Raise Money Fast
I agree with you
smit··on Full Stack Hustler
I agree with you Felix. BD is normally associated with partnerships and sales which is why I decided to use Full Stack Hustler to cover a wider range of skills.
smit··on Full Stack Hustler
Thanks for the kind words haha. The post was more to serve as a quick summary of what non technical founders should do :)
smit··on Full Stack Hustler
interesting. would you include marketing in business development?
smit··on Full Stack Hustler
selling and marketing plus understand technology is what makes a good combination. cannot leave either of three out.
smit··on Welcome Our Robot Overlords
This looks interesting. Is anyone else using it ?
smit··on How Twitter Came to Boston
Yes its a very tricky place to be in. Building a business on a single platform is so dangerous these days. I had a friend who tried to build on facebook platform and had to shut down because of their rules and threats.
smit··on Ask HN: Will Twitter Resumes Work?
It certainly doesn't hurt. Any new venues to be noticed is one step forward. Only thing is not many people might know that this is happening so its hard to know how many people are going to be noticed. I believe that people should be building relationships on twitter anyways and then leveraging them for jobs.
smit··on Show HN : Migrate Posterous blog to Tumblr in few clicks
Great idea. Any similar services for wordpress?
smit··on [dead]
nice one. simple and to the point.

Hackernews has "business-y" folks who might be active. You want people who can show that they've done marketing or hustled in things before. They probably have a blog which would give you an idea of what they are about. They should be on twitter engaging and basically have a good online presence because thats important to spread the word for any business.
smit··on Ask HN: Software Engineering Internships in NYC?
have you looked at nytm.org/made?
smit··on Ask HN: How to hustle like the best of them?
You should read Scott Britton's blog life-longlearner.com. Its the best out there. It covers everything from cold emailing to how to do partnerships.
smit··on Show HN: Nowcation - find spontaneous travel deals
Would be awesome if you added Boston as an origin :)
smit··on Ask HN: A new twist: How do developers find viable business-y co-founders?

smit··on Ask HN: Startup - best way to promote?
Are you guys blogging? Start writing posts about what the celebrity is wearing and maybe talk about the dress and the call to action at the bottom can be to go to buy the dress.
smit··on Networking Inside a Large Company
i agree with domenic_s. you can replicate the model for your teams which might be as large as a company. honestly i shared what worked for me. even if this benefits one person, i will be happy.
smit··on Networking Inside a Large Company
