Sort of like saying "the filter isn't effective enough, so we won't filter at all".
Bizarro World indeed.

"I’m obviously not in favor of replacing anyone’s daily fluid intake with soft drinks, but I can already see a number of straw man arguments headed my way. This is because people have a tendency to think in either-or terms that strictly involve extremes."
I think the main point of his post is that fructose is being demonized. He points out that we're taking in more calories while spending less. If anything is to be taken from the article is that moderation is the way.

Greater population = greater opportunity for mutation. Sounds right...
Last time I checked nobody helped me pay for my car, my registration or my gas taxes. Which do help pay for public transit...

"17. Can I use my registered warrant to pay my State taxes? You can use a registered warrant to pay some of your State tax liabilities, although you will not receive interest unless you hold the warrant until it is redeemable. For more information, visit the Franchise Tax Board’s website at www.ftb.ca.gov." from: http://www.sco.ca.gov/5935.html
And: "We will accept registered warrants that are not yet redeemable for full face value towards the payment of tax liabilities." from: http://www.ftb.ca.gov/aboutFTB/newsroom/Registered_Warrants....
Is the state not accepting them for payment of sales tax? Or?
Aside from that... 3.75% interest on those, that is tax free. Sounds like a deal to me.
No way... onscreen keyboards just don't compare to physical keyboards. Personally, that's what sold me on the G1 over an iPhone.
I had a chance to play with the myTouch, which is indeed smaller, but if I wanted an on-screen keyboard then I'd go for something with a bigger screen.
"The only solution is to transform debt into equity across all sectors, in an organised and systematic way. Instead of sending hate mail to near-insolvent homeowners, banks should reach out to borrowers and offer lower interest payments in exchange for equity."
As I understand it, most that will walk away from their homes are upside down, meaning they owe more on the property than it is worth. That is also the reason that they're unable to refinance.
So the authors suggest that the bank lower the interest on the loan in exchange for equity which the homeowner has none of?
He's not exactly credible ...
