skeletonjellyon Understanding the .NET ecosystem: The evolution of .NET into .NET 7

Can't you generate the compiled model as part of the CI/CD?

Also maybe you might find a benefit from splitting your context into multiples. I am considering this option for one of my code bases

skeletonjellyon Why Is Colorectal Cancer Rising Rapidly Among Young Adults?

Seconding a gastroenterologist. In Australia you have to be referred to by a general physician, and the GE will perform the colonoscopy procedure and also consult. I'm in my 30s and had mine done just the other week. The prep sucks but it's for a good cause, and the anaesthesia is divine.

Good on your friend ;) It's important to look after your brain's meat suit, particularly that area considering the growing body of research between the gut/brain

Another person made a good point I'll extend on: you'd stay in Russia until you end up dying in Ukraine, viewed by people watching drone footage online

skeletonjellyon Twitter to start layoffs -internal email

Not the person you're replying to, but it's not "more complicated" per se, technically, but Twitter is as Musk puts it a town square, and if you're going to treat a product that relies on a social network like a car or a rocket...can't see the analogous processes applying here

skeletonjellyon Lichess: The free and open source chess server

I've been using a local engine for analysis. Firstly it saves Lichess CPU time, and secondly it's more powerful (running on GPU). I prefer the Lichess interface so do use it occasionally but otherwise the Nibbler front end over lc0 has been handy. You can paste in FEN or PGN format which as others have mentioned should be available from some physical boards.

skeletonjellyon Automatic supercuts on the command line with Videogrep

Amazing! Love it so much. My brain was running wild with possibilities (like having an autocomplete from the corpus, live audio only previews, and the above)

I didn't realise there was a github! You should add a link to your tutorial

skeletonjellyon Automatic supercuts on the command line with Videogrep

Does it depend on the source material though? I think I'm happy with scattered tone and pitch if it comes out funny

skeletonjellyon The World’s Oldest Active Torrent Turns 18 Soon

Wow! This short film is genuinely one of my favourites (and is generally under appreciated). The lead actor went on to be a very successful stage performer and I think he shied away from this film a bit. I remember pestering the director (who played Agent Smith) about 10 years ago to release a 1080p version. So happy to see someone else talking about it.

Oh and I can't write a comment about it and not acknowledge the tragic passing of Michael Falzon. What a loss
