There are also tools like https://indielogin.com that make it easier to add support for that to your own site.
I’ve arrived to the same general conclusion independently, which is reassuring.
They released it in 2012 as a 32-bit iOS app. By the time 64-bit became a requirement for iOS apps, the publisher abandoned it and it never got updated. :(
What’s wrong with the LG display? It gets a lot of criticism, but I find it hard to understand why. There was an interference shielding issue, but it was fixed more than a year ago.
For anyone familiar with the matter, what is it that makes the LG not great?
Will it be possible to figure out the appearance preference with JacaScript as well?
It's not possible to transfer just the stars while maintaining all the things that you can't directly control.
I did something similar when I decided to change my github username without changing all the import paths of Go packages I had. I changed the username, made an organization with the same name as my previous username, then moved all my repos to the organization. So the URLs of all the repos stayed unchanged. [1]
I've also done a 1.5 year sabbatical, and I can relate. It's both very challenging (to pull off successfully) but also can be very rewarding.
Take 100 people, and suppose 1 of them decides to stop using Gmail, replacing it with a custom setup. 99 decide to stick with Gmail. The 1 person who spent hours on a custom setup is more likely to leave a comment sharing their experience, tips and tricks, etc. The 99 won't have something noteworthy to post about.
End result is you see disproportionally more comments from people who do something drastic and unusual compared to ones who don't.

Also, my personal site is a medium-sized monolith:
Also, personally, I suspect this is another hint of an upcoming transition to ARM64-based Macs. They will only implement these new Apple-specific APIs, not the legacy/deprecated ones like OpenGL.
Main discussion seems to be at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17231442.
It’s the smaller scale developers and projects that might not have have such ability.
The low-level graphics APIs like Metal and Vulkan allow for much better performance, but they are much harder to use and require more work from the developer (hence, they’re usually used only by game engine makers). Higher-level graphics APIs like OpenGL are less efficient and have lower peak performance, but are easier to use for individual projects and have the benefit of having existing functional code (no need to rewrite a working project).
Also, OpenGL (and its mobile and web variants OpenGL ES and WebGL) are very portable (macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, both and native and in browsers), while Metal is macOS/iOS-only.
I also wonder what means for WebGL and its future. Right now, WebGL works in browsers on macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, which is incredible. There is no equivalent.
Sure, Apple has started working on WebGPU, but that’s not yet ready nor is it guaranteed to gain Linux, Windows, Android support.
