20 years ago I loved Firefox. tabs and extensions were amazing. today, it feels slow and uncomfortable to use. I tried too many times to like it again. for me Vivaldi today is what Firefox was 20 years ago.

people keep confusing work and personal time/space. personal opinions are personal and should be kept to your personal time. and before anyone answers, always think what if the person would support something you don't at a workplace you work as well. you would not feel comfortable and since its your workplace you can't avoid it either. we should respect everyone and keep it to our personal time and space.

didn't say it is. its related to the article and future of ads and web browsers and v3 + youtube ad popups feel to me like 2 big issues that are ongoing

chromium derivatives, such as vivaldi, brave, edge, etc... must have an open source fork on top chromium which removes any manifest v3 enforcement and ensures ad blocking capabilities. if they will have to do it alone, it would be too great of an effort as I'm sure google with couple v3 code everywhere and make it hard to remove this enforcement alone.

they also need to help remove blocking popups like youtubes one which works and act exactly like an ad.

I'm sure this could bring more usage to these browsers. I've moved to vivaldi and never looked back

I just wrote a userscript to remove their timer dialog. Their recommendations are pretty bad and are not worth the subscription.

I assume translating in IG is based on ML based on users data and feedback. so its statistics and not bulletproof. in general its considered a very complex problem as languages are very different from each other. On the other hand, I don't see bbc apologizing for calling hamas terrorists "militants". wonder how many civilians they need to behead and/or burn alive before that happens.

what have we become! after that horror of such a barbaric inhuman attack, we also hide the reality and push for disinformation so this could happen again and again. and these nightmares will happen in more and more places and it will be harder and harder to understand what is real and what is fake.
