seapunk··on House Hunting in France: A Once-in-a-Millennium Castle for $3.3M
The thing is with this kind of building sometimes new landowners fail to take care of them. A popular example is the Fort Harbour [1] that Alain Delon acquired during the 60s. The actor faced with the constraints imposed by French historical monuments and was unable to renovate it as he wanted. He ends up selling it.

seapunk··on How we built a $1M ARR SaaS startup
Hi Andrew and Sarah! Congratulations for this milestone. I'm following your journey since your first blog post and it was a great motivation when we started building our startup as digital nomads too. I think many bootstrappers were inspired by Canny and your transparency along the years.

seapunk··on Minitel: The Online World France Built Before the Web (2017)
Before knowing the Web, I spent afternoons after the school chatting with strangers on the Minitel, instant messaging was the big thing. Seeing the popularity of the chat feature, a lot of entrepreneurs decided to launch erotic services well-known as "Minitel Rose". People essentially spent their time (and paid a fortune) to flirt with chatbots.
seapunk··on Show HN: A Twitter bot I made that posts real-time deforestation data
> The newsletter idea sounds cool. Maybe even send detailed reports? There is more data the bot knows on each request but gets ignored for simplicity of the statuses.

Indeed a detailed report would be nice to receive.

About mLab, I think you could give a shot to the MongoDB Atlas Free Tier (M0).

seapunk··on Show HN: A Twitter bot I made that posts real-time deforestation data
Hi Daniel, it's really nice project.

Any plan to build a website for more visualization in the future or maybe a newsletter to receive the updates?

My suggestion to add to your French podcasts list:

I think you can thank Mirabilis founders! So much people have good memories thanks to ICQ.
seapunk··on ICQ New
I'm very nostalgic too. It was the beginnings of the Internet in France and this is the first app my brother installed on my computer, he told me "with this you can make a lot of new friends around the world" I was so glad everytime I heard this sound.

We use Simple Analytics [https://simpleanalytics.com/] as alternative to GA and it's also privacy-friendly.

I saw Plausible appeared after Simple Analytics launched their product. I'm glad to see GA alternatives becoming popular.
