It is perfectly valid to have OSes that are more memory safe by default, and are also open source at the same time.
Might need a re-think about whether if Linux is still fit for purpose on sandboxing in the first place given its memory model is riddled with C-style security issues.
Seems like this hype around TUIs makes no sense at all and sounds like a fad. Maybe it is time to move on.
Why is it that iOS is crashing but not Android?
Google should know better to not have such an incident like this as the Firebase SDK runs on millions of apps.
If you did not implement a fall back mechanism, perhaps you based your testing assumptions on that “Firebase could never crash my app” which is now false.
This will be the new normal as all human “engineers” from staff to seniors are now down levelled to interns and junior engineers when using AI; unable to understand what they are doing and pushing broken updates like this into production with “agents”.
Better not blame Claude on this outage.
The alternative is leetcode hards in person with rounds of in person interviews.
Only on HN there can be a single pixel that is misplaced or off and it causes ONE person to get upset about it.
This is completely petty. Just stop.
The truth is, the author directed Claude to delete 48K file without proper supervision.
The risk of liability is a social problem that is far more difficult to be solved with technical solutions even with AI.
This makes no sense whatsoever.
We need more, because there will always be far more difficult problems yet to be discovered and solved, and that means, we certainly need expert humans to define and verify them.
If you cannot even explain the problem you are facing, not only you don't understand it, but you certainly would not be able to know if the AI solved your problem correctly.
Sounds more realistic than what this blog post is proposing. Meta also tried releasing a phone, how did that go?
Muse on the other hand is the polished version of what OpenClaw should have been and Meta appears to have given a lot of thought about it more than this blog post.
I don't think we need yet another phone.
This seems to be only thought out after a day of vibe coding apps that no-one uses.
But anyone who got laid off and ran out of their savings would need that extra $5k more than others.
This was announced on X [0] and Bluesky [1] (First post) with that intention.
He knows he would get more reach on those platforms than here.

There is no point in being on the extreme end around banning all code generated by AI.
Regardless, there is AI generated code in many repositories on Codeberg anyway.
Apple on the other hand forces you to use Siri and Apple Intelligence regardless.
