rullelito··on How we made a text-to-speech model respond in sub-50 ms
Feels like caching the top 1000 most common beginnings would solve this for 99% of cases?
rullelito··on AI companies destroy physical books – let's scan rare books before it's too late
You really drank all the Koolaid they had to offer.

Destroying the last copy of a book is OK because you shop for second hand books, and because some private company hold the last digital copy and have no incentive to make sure it survives. Damn..

rullelito··on AMD acquires Taalas to boost inference performance by etching models in silicon
Better then vice versa!
rullelito··on Situational Awareness down 67% in July in AI stock rout
> The LLM stuff seems very over priced, but also Ukraine is making a million or whatever drones a year all with a need for ML-powered planning, routing, and terminal guidance

I bet Ukraine would love getting more entangled and dependent on a treacherous USA and the entities it controls from t The White House..

(do people not follow world events?)

rullelito··on Who Is America's Homer?
lol, a country not even 300 years, and Homer is ~3000 years ago. The Hollywood fixation is unreal.
rullelito··on Grok 4.5
I wonder how many Grok bots are in the comments right now defending it.

Input matching distribution of a specific one-shotted LLM... Nice.
rullelito··on The Free Market Lie: Why Switzerland Has 25 Gbit Internet and America Doesn't
Now do Sweden.
rullelito··on Report on an Unidentified Space Station – J.G. Ballard (1982)
I didn't get anything out of this. Felt very simple and not very mind-bending. Should I feel something?
rullelito··on WH proposes rules giving political appointees final approval on research grants
Americans and Republicans seem so fine with this. Amazing to see this happen live.
rullelito··on Google says criminal hackers used AI to find a major software flaw
"And the only prescription..'
rullelito··on Ratty – A terminal emulator with inline 3D graphics
Can anyone explain why this is novel? It seems pretty basic?
rullelito··on Does Employment Slow Cognitive Decline? Evidence from Labor Market Shocks
Do you think you are the typical person?
rullelito··on I've sold out
At least they didn't call it Open pi.
rullelito··on Scaling Karpathy's Autoresearch: What Happens When the Agent Gets a GPU Cluster
Then "on its own" has no meaning, i.e. everything an LLM does is "on its own".
rullelito··on How I write software with LLMs
For me, I use an IDE if I plan to look at the code.
rullelito··on Canada's bill C-22 mandates mass metadata surveillance
It's sad I think we need complete control of "mainstream" internet because most people just scroll TikTok and believe whatever filter bubble they are in, and will vote thereafter.

The majority of people have intellectually regressed into sheep.

rullelito··on Bubble Sorted Amen Break
Should I understand what this is trying to show?
rullelito··on I want to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?
If we are just speculating here, I believe it can infer that you would not ask this question if the car was at home.
rullelito··on Waymo robotaxi hits a child near an elementary school in Santa Monica
Lidar would pick up a moving object in 3D so unlikely to just keep going.
rullelito··on Scott Adams has died
So satire can't have a large cultural impact? Very interesting theory without much support.
rullelito··on Sergey Brin's Unretirement
Having the best AI is prestigious for billionaires. It's that simple.
rullelito··on 'Calvin and Hobbes' at 40
I think it was quite big in Sweden.
rullelito··on Nano Banana Pro
Why on earth would the fallback when a prompt is under specified be to do something no human expects?
rullelito··on Europe is scaling back GDPR and relaxing AI laws
> There are dozens of stories how registering a business alone can take several months and tons of paperwork.

What does this even mean? You have examples from ALL of Europe? Each country has its own process, and at least in "my" country it is very easy.

rullelito··on Glasses-free 3D using webcam head tracking
Drawback is that it only works if you constantly move your head or device.
rullelito··on Two things LLM coding agents are still bad at
LLMs are turning into LLMs+hard-coded fixes for every imaginable problem.
