[1] Including if(0){} abominations
A resume is about the person presenting him/herself, isn't it?
As for the industry: seemingly the industry thinks that showing ass and tits on a booth is worth it. That alone says enough. It is not about the ones who are earning their money there but the ones who think that their industry needs that. No discussion of "choice" needed.
An industry who employs women as booth babes, apparently because staring at a booth babe sells tech better? Stinks.

turn into a real loss. So, if you have to hide something, show your private parts. Can we conclude this?

Multinationals will be able to sue countries for their business obstructing laws concerning environmental legislation etc., thereby conveniently bypassing democratic process.
The observations leading to relativity theory put this question differently: Apparently the speed of light is constant, no matter how fast it's origin moves [1] : so we have to interpret our measurements relative to the speed of the observer. I still find Einstein's explanation the most readable [2]. He stays close to the geometrical description of reference frames and avoids the pictorial freedom known from monad tutorials...

I remember that the dutch police some years ago already used so called "sms-bombs" to contact mobile phone subscribers that were around a crime scene months before.
It is simply inherent in the technology. You wear a mobile phone? (not even smart) So you are traceable with all consequences.
The solution? In any case not technical in nature. We will see.
Where, exactly, in a world of reduced job opportunities?

For the people in question these pastimes are probably as realistic as having a Rhino shooting in Namibia.

You make it seem like a beautiful win-win situation, like a well deserved 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 ... + 0.1 split. The current discussion revolves, among other things, around the question if it's more like 0.99 + 0.01 and if that is like it should be.
With a reasoning like yours, I always wonder if there is indeed some underlying substance to it, or if it's sheer hope and faith in some Austrian god?

In the light of the recent complaints on this blog about homeless people in SF: maybe there is a completely surprising "disruption" lurking, if you do not address this subject with a "we" mindset.
Just explaining how things might have come to be, as you do in this strawman exercise, doesn't make it acceptable, or does it?
