interesting. wonder how agents themselves can create something complex. I'll use it for sure. I direct my agents to [Graphviz provider](https://graphviz.rodmena.co.uk/)s these days.

And here is the Python Client for Absurd:

FYI. Highway DSL now fully supports Absurd. Specs: https://github.com/rodmena-limited/highway_dsl/blob/main/spe...

Armin, I managed to review absurd.sql and the migrations. I am so impressed that I am rewriting the state management of my workflow engine with Absurd. Just wanted to thank you for sharing it with us. I'll keep you posted of the outcome.
rodmena··on Absurd Workflows: Durable Execution with Just Postgres
I think it's a brilliant idea. Absurd can be a very good match to highway_dsl as well (which is a domain-specific-language, for workflows)

rodmena··on Ask HN: What made your business take off that you wish you'd done much earlier?
Automation, Change control management, IAM
rodmena··on LastPass appears to be holding users' passwords hostage
I don't understand why people should use LastPass while there is this robust multiplatform and totally free "BitWarden" is available. Marketing power.
rodmena··on Did Jpost Get Hacked?
Yes, it's been hacked by Iranians. The image appears to be Iranian leader's firing a missile to Israel.
rodmena··on Artificial Obsolescence
And the question is, should we follow the example for Software? I mean, look at FreeBSD! Wonderful OS, but a non-profitable model.
rodmena··on Ask HN: Are most of us developers lying about how much work we do?
I have been there few times. The amount of incompetency will result to self doubt. It will kill you mentally. I suggest you talk to your boss and tell this story exactly as you described it here, if you are lucky, they will guide help you find your way, and if not, you will be fired and will do good for your mental health.

Once upon a time, when I was in that situation, I requested a salary cut for myself. (They promoted me instead).

rodmena··on This website has 81% battery power remaining
Looking into the response headers, I couldn't find any cache related header. I hope the site is using cache to prevent extra unnecessary load. Brilliant idea by the way.

rodmena··on Log4j: Between a rock and a hard place
By the way, what was the last time we experienced such catastrophic bugs in Python/Erlang/Ruby/Go... libraries? I think simplicity is deeply interconnected with security. Perfection comes from simplicity, and the choice of programming language can and will affect the security of your platform. Although I have to admit, bad engineering and over usage of libraries could happen in every environment, but Java technologies are unnecessarily complex compare to others tech stacks.
rodmena··on We will be retiring Alexa.com
That's true
rodmena··on Summary of the AWS Service Event in the Northern Virginia (US-East-1) Region
umm... But just one thing, S3 was not available at least for 20 minutes.
rodmena··on We will be retiring Alexa.com
It was a bad idea 25 years ago, and still its a bad idea. I will never forget the day our company fired two brilliant marketing guys just because the Alexa ranking of the site dropped 100 points.
rodmena··on Hacking the Go compiler to add a new keyword
> How do they navigate and find all these intricacies without spending hours? Technical documentation of internals is not important for corporate built languages -- which is a shame.
rodmena··on Crypto exchange BitMart confirms hack resulting in loss of $150M
These hacks won't stop until people understand they don't need to / they mustn't keep their coins in an exchange. Single click trading looks pretty appealing to many, but that's not how things should work. The whole idea of transaction fee is a corrupted idea supported by cybercriminals turned into startups.
rodmena··on How to Lose Stars on GitHub?
This was not one error, there were multiple errors, including leaking the API key, and serious issues with how they make changes without proper team communication.
rodmena··on FTC sues to block Nvidia-Arm merger
A big win for consumers.

rodmena··on Python – Writing large ZIP archives without memory inflation
Nice. The code quality could be better though.
rodmena··on Save the planet Program in C, avoid Python, Perl
I partially agree with your statement. Writing anything in C++ would cause _unimaginable_ amount of pain and suffering. Better way is to isolate slow CPU heavy stuff and write it in C without suffering.
rodmena··on Save the planet Program in C, avoid Python, Perl
Python is not only a scripting language. It powers many many websites including Youtube. It's a full power limitless language. Your statement is simply wrong.
rodmena··on Save the planet Program in C, avoid Python, Perl
Oh yes, let's reinvent the Erlang/OTP in C just to save CPU cycles (I bet that won't be the case). Let's waste millions of hours of programmers' life, just to make a point.

C or any "so called" efficient languages are wonderful for their use cases. Python or Erlang have other use cases. We have all of those languages for a reason.

rodmena··on [dead]
Nothing important for the world. But at least the employees could be able to enter the building.
rodmena··on Firefox not planning on supporting PWA
I added the excuse to list of my favourite excuses: "Hey, I ditched the feature cause it had some known bugs".
rodmena··on React is becoming a black box
I don't understand. people can try Svelte in few hours and for every experienced frontend engineer, it's obvious that React is not only slow but anti pattern. IMO Svelte is the best possible answer at least for now.
