I contacted Tim Cook's email and someone from the team responded and worked with me through the situation. Fortunately, we had a lucky outcome, and we got our payment refunded, but the entire ordeal took around a month and lots of calls to the CS/live chat support.
Note: Most of the time people are referring to FSD as FSD beta. Most videos you see online are FSD beta. FSD is still very dumb, but includes stop light awareness. FSD beta is what allows you to "self drive" in the city.
That said, I've definitely seen it run stop signs, so it's not uncommon.
AP/EAP will run red lights and can't merge lanes on a freeway. FSD will stop for lights/stop signs, but that's about it. FSD Beta is what Tesla is typically known for and what many YouTube videos are showing. FSD Beta will stop at red lights and merge into freeways. Most people use FSD interchangeably, but they are not the same thing.
UPS tells me to file a claim on their website and they can't address this through phone support, but they closed my case. Apple tells me they are waiting for UPS to respond to them before they can refund my order.
I'm not getting anywhere from either party. My only recourse seems to file a dispute so I can get my money back to place a replacement order, but being blacklisted by Apple is exactly what I fear.
If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know. I'd expect a company like Apple to have a better policy for replacing lost computers. While I understand fraud, I've made numerous purchases in the past with the same account.
> The Account Authorization (FS Form 5444) submitted is unacceptable as the form was not properly certified. Therefore, we must ask that you submit a new form with your signature properly certified.
> Please note that the form's instructions to the certifying officer state, "Acceptable certifications include the financial institution's official seal or stamp (such as corporate seal, signature guarantee stamp, or medallion stamp)." Notary public stamps are acceptable. Please have the bank place their official seal on the form to certify your signature. If the financial institution does not have an official seal or stamp to use when they certify a signature, they may use the savings bond paid stamp that they normally use when cashing savings bonds for a bond owner. We may accept:
> Signature/Endorsement Guarantee Stamp
> Medallion Stamp
> Official Bank Seal/Stamp
> Corporate Seal
> Consular Seal
> A commissioned or warrant officer of the United States Armed Forces may certify the signature.
> Any stamp or seal must be visible.
> The bank certifying officer should include his/her phone number by the certification.
> If none of the options listed above are available, we may give consideration when a bank officer uses notary certification when it is accompanied by the signature of the employee and the name/address of the bank is provided. The certification must clearly shows the certifying officer is a bank employee.
If you take a look at the photos for the Blue Air 211 on Amazon, you can see how much it picks up. Mine was exactly like the photos. The pre-filter was completely covered in dust, and the inner filter was completely dark after 6 months of use.
Kinesis and Ergodox are generally the two most popular.
With older brokerage firms, they use to call you up after you signed up. You would have to chat with them on the phone before they unlocked your account.
I made an online purchase for some oral-b toothbrush heads from Target. The item that arrived did not resemble what was on their website. I figure since it's a big retailer, it's probably legit. I checked the official manufacturer's website and the product was also different. Digging a bit deeper into the product images, I finally found one that looked like the version I had.
Wait, is there something built into MacOS to make Gifs? I've been recording videos and using ffmpeg which doesn't feel "seamless." Does anyone have any recommendations for a better workflow?
