I had this opinion too, before visiting the bay area for an interview in 2011. I was stunned at how every single person (or so it seemed) had a mac out on the caltrain. And to answer your question, two out of the three companies I've worked at have been almost all macs (some devs like linux/windows laptops).
Although, having lived in the West for the better part of a decade, I don't see what progress we have made as society that you are so confident that right to blasphemy is no big deal. I am not saying we live in medieval England, but speech with zero consequence is not a thing yet.
Was this an universal viewpoint in the West? As a non-Muslim teen in India I saw it as mocking Islam (I get that others' mileage varies).
The article calls out another reason. His daughter has celebral palsy I think, and they helped bring things into town for her.
I was only an intern there, but I'm 100% sure you are blabbering.
Then dang and co will end up writing articles like this one: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19971454
Was probably me lol. I made it a point to visit that restaurant in that trip.
I do agree that you probably don't need this junk.
Because they assume that you are smart, and the $700 is after those bills.
Cherry picking this part of your argument: the last time I switched jobs this is what I told myself to rationalize commuting 50 mins one way (plus 15 mins last mile stuff). It works out _terribly_ if the mode of transport is not super reliable.
Would you accept that there is at least some sort of movement of engineers from these large companies to startups? I would argue the choice is made on what people are used to and familiar with, as opposed to "let's signal what scale we want to be at in our choice of tools"
Anything software was shit (ie poorly done/buggy), and samsung used a lot of dark patterns (you have to install an app to get the watch paired, which is fair, but it keeps nagging you to install a second app).
My friend and I were one of the first batch of people to get it (preorder a few months before release), and had some issues initially that they quickly resolved (by sending us new watches)
What, in your opinion, should people be doing in cafes on weekday afternoons?
Also I live in an apartment and no porch/driveway, maybe that's why I dont lose packages :)
Wasn't this just to prevent assholes from stealing packages from your yard/door/...?
