static linking works also with glibc, AFAIK (using it)
pragmaticlurker··on Contributing to the Mozilla code base
I'd really like to work for Mozilla on Mozilla products, but somehow the interview process is broken.

I've managed to go through 3 interviews (2 technical, one with the team-coordinator) but then was rejected because they've found some other with more years of relevant (?) experience on the topic for the position.

Now they write this. So my question is: why don't you open more positions, letting people be hired (and paid) to work on products, instead of looking for charitable work from volunteers?

pragmaticlurker··on Employee happiness and business success are linked
sure, but don't blame the work in case of missed happiness, if you don't actively make something proactively

I'm always baffled by the unconsidered usage of Design Patterns. In the example, why do you use also the AbstractFactoryPattern, when there's no need for it?

pragmaticlurker··on PHP in 2019
definitively much better than other programming languages out there, especially when it comes to MVP.

Fast, easy and flexible.

CakePHP is a wonderful framework and the community support is simply huge (orders of magnitude bigger than Java and C# for instance).

Don't forget that PHP runs 70% of internet (where also Wordpress and Magento are big helps)

pragmaticlurker··on PHP in 2019
