My roommates 35 year old brother from russia stayed on our couch for a few months(escaping the draft) and didn't have a laptop, just his iphone.. He would just spend hours watching tiktok with that annoying bro-step/ableton core tik tok crap on his iphone speakers.. completely unphased by it... eventually I got used to hearing it in the background as well. The guy has headphones but this is something that seems to be normalizing. I see this on the bus and train as well
you have to be joking.. Everytime I see a song I like I search for it, can often find all the remixes official / unofficial, extended mix, and instrumental (official or amateurs using cross filtering techniques.)
Also Sea Shanties are on youtube as well, maybe moreso, and easier to find and save to a playlist..
I hate the new youtube UX decisions and limitations but it still blows tiktok completely out of the water(spotify too(spotify is for normies))
I do this all the time, movies as well. Never had a spouse, I don't see anything wrong with it. I think you should try it, even if it makes you feel pathetic. You need to learn to live by yourself for a while maybe
I disagree, I feel like its the same as all the rest but the writers in the board meetings are like.. We need to make Star Wars for 25-40 year old men to feel like adults watching it.
> slow burn
planned that way not because it is a slow burn high pay off scenario. But because it is planned to drag on so you just keep watching it consistently. Most of these garbage shows in the last 5 years or so have embraced this 'pseudo-slowburn' style to make baby men feel more sophisticated while hooking them into consistently watching.
I feel like the writers and decision makers saw all the funko pop marvel watching 30 year open mouth beard consumers and wanted to 'blow their minds' with 'slowburn' to remind them that consuming childrens movies are actually sophisticated and adult
its funny, people have been saying this every few years since the 1980s
anecdotal as an English teacher turned programmer who lived in CDMX 2014-2017 (before large influx of digital nomads and then waves of COVID tourists)
Just totally cringing watching my mexican dj friends in CDMX complain about all the gringo tourists ruining everything in cuauhtemoc/roma norte but then posting instagram stories " hey looking for booking in USA/Germany/etc for November or December, also subletting my apartment" (also posting it in English).. It's like living in a Beverly Hills mansion and getting angry at the rich Chinese tourists spending money on Rodeo drive for two weeks.
>complex system
very simple system to prevent repeats and inject slugs, and all the sequels(and GTA 3 + vice, had that system.. Did you play all those games?
Did you play Midnight Club Series? by rockstar also?
Taste wise I prefer the music in GTA4 and Vice City to San Andreas
ps no lo basurees asi gringo, da?
> I try and try as someone who grew up as the only white kid in my area in Chicago, dirt poor, to understand how, in my opinion, we as the United States, and therefore the world, are going backwards.
puro cringe
GTA had radio stations even in the first isometric one and the three (or more?) after that, before San Andreas
> literally the best thing to ever happen to gaming.
its a nice gimmick but I think it isn't LITERALLY the best thing ever in gaming. lots of games have music, literally.
