pascal1usa··on Why Funding can Kill Your Startup Fast – Emerging Market
Did you really say a good product will sell itself? Generally this is not true, especially for enterprise solutions. But, I'm happy to be proven false if you can provide examples
pascal1usa··on Dyson sphere
Can someone please build one of these around SF. We desperately need it. ;)
pascal1usa··on The Tragedy of Pokémon Go: What it takes for good ideas to attract money
The poster uses the word traffic a lot but doesn't explain enough why he thinks it's tragic.
pascal1usa··on How to Pick Your Battles on a Software Team
At our company code reviews are my way or the highway. Raising objections only gets you negative feedback. It's mostly for coding style, spaces, variable names.
pascal1usa··on We Only Hire the Best
You probably would be if you lived in SF. Since the available housing ratio to jobs is 1 to 3, they have effectively guaranteed that not all jobs can ever be filled. Great for the job supply!
pascal1usa··on [dead]
The manager in the first story is absolutely egregious, passive aggressive and should probably be reported to HR
pascal1usa··on This Tech Bubble Is Bursting

pascal1usa··on Benefits of 1 Minute of All-Out Effort during Exercise

Yup. And, as vc dollars start drying up and companies get pressure to become profitable again, employers will figure out where to go: out of San Francisco.
pascal1usa··on Sleep deprivation is not a badge of honor
As people get older they don't require quite as much rest. I know people in their 60s who say they feel completely rested with just 7 hours.
pascal1usa··on Internet Access Is Finally Permanently Tax Free in the U.S.
Great. Now let's work on making incomes legal. I'm still getting fined in the name of "income taxes"
pascal1usa··on Confessions of a Grown-Up Kick-Scooter Rider
I'm in San Francisco

What city are you in? I scoot in st all the time and have never ever had a negative look. Actually, chicks dig it. Once in a while I get a complement on a5 lux scooter.

It works great at the office too.

pascal1usa··on How Employers Get Out of Paying Their Workers
They left out the most egregious form of wage theft: taxes! Taxes (often called income taxes) steal wages from the hard working middle class on scale orders of magnitude larger!
