edit: well as this comment thread indicates, the name is pretty confusing for everyone :)
(No affiliation, I just enjoy the channel)
(As an aside, I'm surprised to see this in Esquire, do they still publish writing like this or was it a very different magazine "back in the day"?)
Diamond Aircraft have had success selling planes with diesel engines recently, and even started a subsidiary company to manufacture them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austro_Engine
Even though these cars have disastrous efficiency and need to be completely rebuilt after every run and have backwards rules that leave them using "ancient" technology, I can't help but be awed by the effectiveness of the sledgehammer approach.
edit: also this one made me chuckle https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tim+Hortons/@82.4982691,-6...
It was really nice to see so many cars in the top class, with multiple different teams leading at different points, but it all just feels a bit hollow/manufactured to me. I guess it depends on why you like motorsport; is it the engineering achievement or the pilot skill that matters more?

No, they need to unanimously agree on either guilty or not guilty. A hung jury would result in a retrial.
