Is there a link to the font on github?
This is a little far fetched, but I think is a huge win for society. Better Arabic fonts = easier Arabic-only speakers to do work online = more opportunity for a huge portion of the world.

> When we first met the founders of Octopart, they seemed very smart, but not a great bet to succeed, because they didn't seem especially committed. One of the two founders was still in grad school. It was the usual story: he'd drop out if it looked like the startup was taking off. Since then he has not only dropped out of grad school, but appeared full length in Newsweek with the word "Billionaire" printed across his chest. He just cannot fail now. Everyone he knows has seen that picture. Girls who dissed him in high school have seen it. His mom probably has it on the fridge. It would be unthinkably humiliating to fail now. At this point he is committed to fight to the death.
Edit: Funnily enough, one of the Octopart founders quit grad school on the first day HN existed. Time flies:

Since it's harder to press that button than it is to type Command+T, I opened fewer tabs and was able to stay on task more. This is by no means scientific but curious to hear if it works for anybody else.
Sorry to hear the map boundaries are looking weird to you.
We're using US Census boundary shapefiles to draw the city limits. This is how the map should appear: http://i.imgur.com/xk8WI6Q.png - does it look different on your end?

Thanks and sorry for the redirects. Completely unintentional.
There is definitely an overhead to get it going. Using redis as your messaging backend reduces this cost somewhat.. rabbitmq is overkill for most of the cases we've used celery.
Have a look at rq if you're looking for something more lightweight: https://github.com/nvie/rq
Here are the two pages that I think explain them best:
We tried to keep the visualizations simple because this was our first post using d3.js. Will think about adding an option to show errorbars next time around though. Thanks for the feedback.

Update: Tumblr seems to load their own stylesheets for mobile devices. We'll find a fix for this.
