nemasu··on Why You Should Uninstall Firefox and do Some Soul Searching
Interesting, not what I expected to read judging from the title and recent events.
nemasu··on Activity Roulette
This is great. I do the same thing without cards, I just 'pick one' basically. It's useful in managing a large amount of unrelated hobbies.
nemasu··on We, the universal
Interesting, but I would have to disagree with 'creating the concept of God', there was an (apparent) external influence in most (all?) cases, whereas a computer was all internally conceived.
nemasu··on NIST Launches a New U.S. Time Standard: NIST-F2 Atomic Clock
A whole second every 300 million years? So about 3.33 (repeating of course) nanoseconds a year. Seems like a lot, is this the most accurate created so far?
nemasu··on Tesla gigafactory faces skepticism from Panasonic and analysts
Aww, the "Tesla Gigafactory" sounds awesome, I was a bit disappointed when I found out it's just batteries. I wish someone would invest that kind of money into research for a better alternative, not much change over the past few...decades?
nemasu··on KDE Releases Alpha Version of Next-gen Plasma Workspace
This is exciting! Qt5! Interface looks simpler, reminds me of razor-qt which is a good thing. Looking forward to release.
nemasu··on My First Year of Coding
This is awesome, good work!
nemasu··on Intel outs 64-bit KitKat Android, 'Braswell' chip for Chromebooks
Hmm, I figured we'd see 4GB+ RAM on Android ARM before a commercial Android x86_64 release ... guess there's still time.
nemasu··on Windows on Devices
Hmm, there had to be something, cause it ran without a disc. More menus then the PS2. Plus it says powered by windows CE right on the front.
nemasu··on April 2, 1986: A ‘Laptop’ Computer
1986 wasn't even that long ago, it baffles me how far tech has advanced since then.
nemasu··on 0^0
I don't get what the big deal is. I put 0^0 in Windows Calculator and it gives me 1 ... problem solved!
nemasu··on IRC Clients for Linux
irssi is pretty good. Actually, the other one I use isn't even on the list. Konversation.
nemasu··on Windows on Devices
First thing I thought of was Dreamcast when I thought embedded Windows ...
nemasu··on There is a pure HTML Gmail, and it still works
Curious, why do you disable JS? Security? Preference?
nemasu··on There is a pure HTML Gmail, and it still works
Actually, the link for the HTML only version is at the bottom of the page while it's loading.
nemasu··on How playing “The Way Home” earns us revenue by mining Bitcoin
Wow, I hope it's a joke. If not, then this is terrible. No mention upfront, and it'll kill your battery.
nemasu··on Android is the most stable mobile OS, says new report
Suure, from a website called 'Crittercism', whose investors include Google Ventures. I'm usually not skeptical, but I had a weird feeling.
nemasu··on The First World's Biggest Addiction
Good read. Except I drink coffee in the morning so I can look at what I've programmed in the afternoon and not wonder what the heck I was doing. i.e. Not to avoid an 'uncomfortable' state of mind, just to increase performance. Maybe that's just the same thing though? idk.
nemasu··on Linux 3.14 out
Well, the 3.14 series (including RCs) is all named the same it seems:

Shuffling Zombie Juror

nemasu··on Linux 3.14 out
Excellent! My code will now finally work as intended! I used: `uname -r` * r * r and 2 * `uname -r` * r .
nemasu··on A Night at Hacker News Kansai in Japan
There is? ... So there is. Guess they don't get as much attention for some reason. Hmm, tempting.
nemasu··on A Night at Hacker News Kansai in Japan
This is pretty cool. You'd think one would exist in the Tokyo area first though.
nemasu··on U.S. stock markets are rigged, says author Michael Lewis
This is true, but I believe if you don't set a limit order, then the market value will go up. Then if the price keeps going up, you'll have missed your chance to buy the rest.
nemasu··on Hackers text ATMs for cash via Windows XP flaws
Looks like it needs physical access to ATMs USB port. Isn't the physical access most of the problem?
nemasu··on Google Partners With Ray-Ban, Oakley For New Glass Designs
Trying to make Glass "cool"? ...It'll probably work.
nemasu··on Why I like Java
Don't forget to use Generics.
nemasu··on Why I like Java
I hate Java, and loved this article. Not what I was expecting. Now excuse me as I have 213 more classes to write each containing about 2 lines of real code.
nemasu··on An Introduction to x86_64 Assembly Language
This is great. I'm all for something that gets people into assembly. It seems to be a lost art these days.
nemasu··on Which Links Get More Clicks?
Who knows? I didn't click it.
nemasu··on Show HN: Binary to UTF-8 encoding.
Not much, only a few super niche cases I can think of, and you can also use yEnc, but this is cooler. :)
