do we see headlines describing how much Alphabet has "lost" on Waymo? or how much Toyota has "lost" on EV development?
why fall for that framing here?
along with all the examples of it giving awful advice
and still growing. it is isn't unreasonable for that growth to be slower than less penetrated regions.
but that still doesn't produce a conclusion of collapse
that facebook has such a high percentage of users in the most profitable parts of the world, doesn't connect with the posts claim that users are leaving

the saying is overused and mostly misleading, unfortunately.
you need to do the math for both companies. If Snap took the offer and held the FB stock, it would be at the exact same valuation that SNAP is currently at
