motbus3··on When did Google get so weird?
I already started telling Google that I do 1h exercise every day and I only eat healthy
motbus3··on When did Google get so weird?
Maybe intentionally. If you know you won't find things, they know you are going to use their ai just to not have to type it elsewhere. I am strongly considering kagi
motbus3··on When did Google get so weird?
I find it soooo funny that now Google will "know" you are ending a relationship with Dario due to him not finishing it.

Now talking seriously, it certainly added something to your "profile" which is nuts because that was not what you meant

motbus3··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
And what you mean by your comment?
motbus3··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
I agree that pr** should be banned from Japan. But he was used a tool against people who have nothing to do with him.

My black friends tell me that it is very hard to be taken seriously when your kin thinks that attitude is a matter of noise. One of them told me his relationship ended with his fiance because her father was "racist" and didn't believe he was one of the most well paid engineers in the state.

motbus3··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
No it won't. Because Japanese folks did not want that job before and will not want them later.

You need to be dull to not see that get trained adults that you never spent a cent in education to generate revenue and taxes and have no access to benefits is not a great deal.

Well, it is easy to be blind when you let a racist speech take your eyes.

We all left them not being audited and answering to people as much as they should. People need to use their rights before it is too late
motbus3··on Claude discovers a novel enzyme system with CRISPR-like repeats
Well. If you put the amount of computing power and money they put in to that they would probably brute forced it

100% agree with you.

But I do not think this is misguided. They never publish the harnesses and the models so they are not inspected.

Sounds a good reason to go after representatives to fix it right now!

motbus3··on There's a 100% Chance AI Agents Are Ruining the Internet
The company I work for proudly provide a free and premium tier of service where we do strive to give great quality even for the free tier. The idea is that people over time will understand what we want to achieve and they will see the benefits of supporting a health business model.

I am disillusioned about it, because agents have been huge part of the traffic and all they do is to spend our money but generate absolute nothing positive.

people have been considering to simply close all doors but one person who has quite important hat and believes it would be very negative to people who needs the free tier the most. (And who is also the one with more to loose than everyone else...)

I guess that's the end of the collaboration era as we expected. "Those" people taking everything away and giving nothing back but crumbs that they will soon take from us too.

motbus3··on Linux from Scratch
I agree with you. Maybe the person from the first comment read first few pages only which basically give some context.
motbus3··on US confirms for first time it has deployed space weapons
Cmon folks. What is happening over there? Can anyone tell me? Is it the plastic in water or something?
motbus3··on Every invoice in Brazil's economy runs on SOAP 1.2
I dealt with Brazil payment system before and if is not bad at all. If could be simpler, but it is a plain 3/5. But Brazil taxes cannot be built not even by PhD 600 GPU Next Gen Hacker AI
motbus3··on I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc
Do a Tesla move and say that's a new service and they need to pay 10000 a month to keep using the service otherwise you reserve the right to mess up with the responses. :P of course, just a joke, but that's what they do
motbus3··on Why is Google still serving dodgy ads?
1 and 2 I believe But also when you see what sort of information you can get from putting ads alone, even when people dont click, is quite amazing.
motbus3··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
no thanks :) i like my privacy. it is not possible to trust them with anything these days.
motbus3··on Navier-Stokes – Tristan Buckmaster [pdf]
> We often chat where the business might be heading in future. An uncomfortable scenario is what if a frontier tech company decides to offer our customers the same products that we do.

I feel this is exactly what will happen as they cause all sites to go closed source to protect their intellectual property and the AI companies offer only biased information. They are replace the business on internet model by bankrupting everyone with their own tools. This is predatory pricing under most antitrust laws (imho, not a lawyer) and it is very easy to do when you dont need to pay for the raw material.

motbus3··on Navier-Stokes – Tristan Buckmaster [pdf]
If that turns out to be true somehow, they will also say that their TOS probably covers that anyway so it is not their fault.
motbus3··on 216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video]
Yes you are right, but also they showed how frequently the TV would trigger the voice recognition and how poorly secure it is.

I think GN did a poor job on splitting the capabilities Vs the problems so it got a bit confuse.

But my takeaway is that this is a easy to hack tv with good enough microphones that has almost none privacy filters.

Anyway, same as other, I might be wrong

motbus3··on 216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video]
"we own the glass" "We own the living room"

How disrespectful one can be towards its customers. I am honestly disgusted by such behaviour. I know the cheeky confidence biz talk, but is that really what you want your customers to hear? And what about the guys making such disgusting business possible. Is that what you want to build?

motbus3··on Keep Our Servers Running

motbus3··on 216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video]
Not only that. If shows that it does capture lots of ambiance conversations and switching microphone recording to be easily. Also there is a scare bit that they show an almost silent stream of audio actually contains audible conversation. Why was it even recording?

The "own the glass" thing is the most consumer disrespect I have heard in a while. They claim they own the TV and YOUR LIVING ROOM.

They know they are invading your privacy, they know the make it fricking hard for you to be able to disable it. They are pyschos. I'm ditching buying LG forever

motbus3··on Corporate America is getting hooked on open-source AI
They have good friends in the big ballroom to not allow you to use something cheaper and be locked in on them for your own safety
motbus3··on Corporate America is getting hooked on open-source AI
I had a conversation with a large group of friends and we independently came to the conclusion that Openai/Claude does not deliver more than a open source model. It takes about the same and the quality is about the same, and this does not mean it is good
