Chatted with a fellow HN user from Germany! It was nice chat to make my day :) Peace!

Hi,

I have used 2checkout for years. They also accept payments from PayPal customers which helps if lot of customers want to use funds from their PayPal account.

I really liked that article was short and to the point!

I worry how scalable is this as a freelancer I get good quality leads in the start but as number of users increase on the service, pool of quality leads gets scarce ...

Exactly I use password manager. So it was breeze as original comment :-)

Making account was very smooth and quick. Just username/password/email and Click.. auto login... and you are back to work.

Number of peoples have not increased for last 10 years! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hajj#Number_of_pilgrims_per_ye...

Looks like some other factors contributed to this very unfortunate accident.

Great news as lot of our target market is there.

Wow it looks great on my Android phone, Chrome browser. Just wanted to know how compatible it is with other browsers there on desktop and mobile...

Great work, keep it up!

Great thanks so much for sharing. Here is video version I found in the comments https://youtu.be/z1x3BZjU5Pw

Not sure but could it be that he also looted money from his victims he issued visa, those 800 workers, as in our country people pay a lot to agents to get visas...

Not sure if those 800 workers have any recourse...

Pakistan :)

So in future can Didi give challenge to Uber in other markets? or Due to this deal, Didi cannot come to US or other non-China markets and directly compete with Uber?

I use 2FA and love it, however one issue I faced that I wanted to highlight for anyone having missing sms issues... in our country we can keep the number but change phone company, called porting number to other carrier... it works great however international sms which is mostly the case with 2FA messages, never work after number porting. Do not know it is just issue with our country porting config or universal problem. So anyone having issue of no sms received...may look into it if number ported...

LastPass user here, thanks for getting this fixed. For any other bug/attack like this in future, I suggest we uncheck this option: "Automatically Fill Login Information" in preferences tab. Will this would have helped in case of this attack? Or information still would have been leaked?

Loving it! I always wanted to get started with ReactJs but looks like time has come! I tried the module and I am loving the "Welcome to React" page on my localhost! Thank you!!!

PS. Already in /src/App.js , and wow live reloading without gulp or browersync , it is so simple to get started! Thank you!

Article mentions that Nautilus , default gnome/ubuntu, file manager doesn't have Tabs, which is incorrect as I use it daily and tabs help me get more done in it.

Pay cut will be awkward. Thank you for adding more info, so offer was not even matched to your location...

Was it due to your location? I read they base salary offer on applicant's location... something I am feeling very undemocratic lol... I was idealist thinking I could get paid as per my skills, talent, effort, contribution etc... hell with my location, I could be in India , then in Indonesia and next year working from Mars :-)

Headphones were invented to rescue you in open floor office ...

Same here.

I don't agree with this article as my experience is different... I build for WordPress (gpl themes and plugins) which is open source, using open source tools:

Atom Editor, Git, Filezilla, Firefox, Ubuntu, Gimp, Ssh ...

Now this is good resource! Thank you! I just found a book about Arduino I wanted to add into my list of fun experiments with Ardunio board.

“I like Bill. Bill is a smart guy. But I think the problem is that Microsoft has caught the bunny. You know, when you go to the dog track they have that mechanical bunny that makes the dogs run? Well, sometimes a dog is so fast he catches the bunny and then the other dogs don’t run anymore. That’s the situation in the software business today: Bill has caught the bunny. I admire Bill for catching the bunny, but now we can’t have a race. He ought to be loosed from the bunny, to give the other dogs a chance.” Scott McNealy, the head of Sun Microsystems (Interesting analogy with zero sum game mindset...)

You wanted to validate your idea about idea validation system...if quirky is your competitor then they have validated your idea. Now challenge is not idea but implementation and momentum, to have those initial key users qualified enough for validating ideas , to join your site...

In case of this lawsuit, it achieved negative results hence: "the cure was worse than the disease".

In that case one has to be lucky to meet 'after' the initial phase is complete so that they have chance to be selected.

I am DO customer, yesterday when I heard this story it felt scary step by DO with no regard for customers as original tweet said, "Nothing but radio silence from @digitalocean while 38k sites remain down. Demoralizing."

So It was not Radio Silence but 5 full days notice in advance with multiple notices. Thank you for updating us about the other side of the story.
