That aside, Bret Victor is a genius and I love most of is work. He's a great inspiration to me, and should be to anyone involved in any form of software development.
But if you read it all you'll notice the following paragraph, "Parker’s lab works on creating artificial models of human heart tissues for regenerating organs and testing drugs, and the team built the medusoid as a way of understanding the “fundamental laws of muscular pumps”. It is an engineer’s approach to basic science: prove that you have identified the right principles by building something with them." - This in itself is a very nice feat.

- Mongrel2 uses SUB/PUB (2 channel), BlastBeat uses ROUTER/DEALER, you only need one channel for request and response.
- Mongrel2 put the whole request in a single message, this is easier but forces you to pass uploaded file as filenames (so backend must be on the same machine or need access to the mongrel2 machine) or to buffer into memory (for adding datas to the zeromq message). BlastBeat requires you to manage request content data assembling 'body' messages.
So, 2 different approaches. In addition to this mongrel2 is a full featured webserver, an area in which BlastBeat does not want to compete :)

If you work at an elementary school, aren't you supposed (or even obligated) to teach them how important it is and that it does matter? Language is one of those things that are so easy to learn when you're a kid, so it shouldn't go to waste. Just don't give in to this miserable "they don't care" thing, because it's not them, it's you.
