"If it predicted that you would take only B, then they put $1 million in B. "
If it predicts that you will take only B, and they put $1M in B, and 90% of the time it's correct, why isn't the one-box strategy 90% likely to get you $1M?
Shocked at how little Apple paid for it. I’m a CTO at a tiny company and we pay security researchers 10% of what you got for things 100x less severe than what you found.
1. start with a cheap tool
2. use it until it breaks or until you can't tolerate its shortcomings anymore
3. use what you learned from #2 to research and purchase a high quality tool
if you never get to #2, then you didn't really need anything more than the cheap tool for this particular use case
archive version though it seems slow https://archive.vn/UvZTZ
that particular article is a critique of the same author doing a similar spin job for IBM's cloud.
one thing noted in that article (and has been noted elsewhere) is that microsoft lumps things like Office365 in their "cloud revenue" which would greatly mask the size of Azure vs. AWS

What this doesn’t address and what I think parent comment is about it becoming more socially acceptable, even celebrated by some, to lie at a level that previously would trigger a shaming.
I think perhaps something to consider would be a `title` attribute on a span surrounding the full stop which says something like "most recent comment by this user", so that someone who mouses over the dot can get more information about what it means (thus hopefully avoiding the Ask HN threads)
