Houston (rather how nice of a place is to live) is probably one of the best kept secrets in the US. Despite some of the well-known shortcomings, mostly related to extreme weather events, for the most part is a kind, diverse, healthy and all in all super friendly place for new comers. Food is awesome and being lucky enough to have a good paying job, things like rent or groceries are incredibly affordable, esp. when comparing to neighboring cities (I’m personally in love with Austin but living there has plenty of issues too).
I see a key difference: we choose to participate in a Ponzi scheme, whereas the central bank fiat system is one we are forced to participate in, just by means of being born in a particular country. There’s no choice involved, being backed by the full force and legal monopoly of the state. That’s a key difference many tend to gloss over when pursuing this characterization.
Congratulations to the OP, what a fantastic demo! One small thing, when navigating on my iPhone it seems unavoidable to enable the text selection hint, covering the whole screen in blue and displaying the ‘copy-paste’ popover. In any case, great work!
In my experience, pretty much everywhere else out of the US you will find plenty of women in STEM. Admittedly not 50% but it’s certainly much more common.
