wonderful... this is something I hope would come up going forward. I see this a little in the japanese electronic dictionaries still being developed and released
common sense... no real need for digging into japanese culture and so on. really no idea why Mozilla is so disrespectful to it's volunteers. well, that sweet 400m a year from Google... no need for volunteers anymore, eh
the old guard also got over rolled by the algo heavy media like TikTok or X... they don't effectively engage on these channels. young Japanese people don't own TVs
Especially working in cloud environments is so cumbersome... Sync to the cloud is great, but we lost these kind of tools that just make life so much easier when handling many files and such
Nissan has launched its very cheap EV called Sakura around 2 or 3 years ago? Should hover around the same price point and can be ordered with ProPilot 2 as a option I think
Wow! That's something really useful and awesome. Shame on Adobe while having so much resources not pushing more to build a diverse eco system of creative apps like Graphite
WFH only is low quality experience for me. No close bonding. Just zoom calls. Hybrid/Flex is the way to go I think. No need to be in the office 100%, but show up if you can.
Infinite canvas is for me the new UX paradigm that could dominate the next years to come. Just seeing how natural Miro is used for all kinds of document creation is the moment it made click in my head.
It could be worse than canva, which is actually pretty great value when used with a free account. Also, Canva seems to take design kind of seriously. For example google Slides still can't do any font kerning after all these years.
Most japanese have time to travel around the same three weeks a year: over new years, the golden week in early may or middle of August for the Obon holidays. Prices for everything travel related skyrocket around these three weeks. Work ethic being what it is, for most there is no other time to travel than in high season. In the current uncertain economic climate and weak yen this is even more unappealing than it was before.
We probably need a new way of handling these dependencies on tech firms. I don't think libre office or any other thing can replace MS Office. There should be another way to deal with it.
