Yea, but it should be done by providers like Heroku who can talk to multiple datacenters :)

Simple solution to this is to have a backup or failover to a non-AWS Datacenter too, basically don't be just dependent on one Datacenter. E.g. MS Azure/Google/Rackspace This not only spreads your risks but keeps your customers happy.

I did an IAP on LinkedData at MIT and one of the session's was given by Sir Tim Berners Lee, creator of Internet and now creator of Semantic Web.

LinkedData has amazing power and capability,the only challenge is adopting it. NYTIMES has all its articles on Linkeddata, DBPedia is an RDF version of Wikipedia.

On the other side all the companies are opening their API's, linked data has a similar vision of data mashups. These two overlaps in few aspects.

Its not that it didnt work, People use to love Nokia it worked like charm. Nokia was the biggest mobile phone manufacturers until it stopped innovating and iterating their products. It wasn't new for them that Apple and Google are coming up with their phones and how they would be changing the mobile industry. Had Nokia took that up and changed their product to be up with the tech innovations they would have not lost the market share. Right said if you don't innovate or iterate you are going to Die.

I kind of agree with the earlier post on FB, I just use it to share once a week or so..Its true that FB is running at the cost of our personal relationships. I have had friends who had serious trouble just due to Facebook and pictures. Myself I think twice before sharing it with people as who knows where the relationships overlap...Facebook is good but is there something that can be made better than facebook which solves all the problems facebook has? Think it like this..We had Landline phones...but it had problems..we came up with mobile phones...and now we hve smart phones...My thinking is facebook is way too good but something better can be made..hopefully one of the hackers here come with a brilliant idea which solves a problem..is viral and gets a new revolution...
