maked00··on PaintBottle, A Porn Site For The 21st Century
Not only is it not intuitive, it's soul killing slow.
maked00··on PaintBottle, A Porn Site For The 21st Century
Don't waste your time.

Just a handful of vanilla C and B quality vids.

maked00··on Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos meet "Ginger" (2003)
Just goes to show the kings new clothes can fool the 1%.
maked00··on The Ever-Shrinking Role of Tenured College Professors
Education has been on a lets get as top heavy as we can kick for years. Go to any educational institution, anywhere in the US. Check out the oak paneling in the administrative offices. Check out the explosion of administrative positions. Check out the rise of administrator salaries. That is where the money goes while class sizes increase, teacher salaries nosedive, and essential core subjects get trivialized or cut.
maked00··on California’s New Taxes Are Paying for Pensions
Typical 1% rant designed to flumox the 99%.

Overlooks that teacher pensions is a legitimate expense if you just happen to be running schools, like CA is.

Just goes to show, when you want to lie, lie big.

Take away teachers' pensions, and you might as well say goodbye to attracting any new teachers or retaining the good ones.

As Dr. Martin Luther King worked so hard for, everyone, which includes teachers, has a right to a decent living which includes a decent retirement.

maked00··on Donating my Xbox
True, true. This also applies to most game publishing houses, not just the mothership.

There is a group-think mob mentality that ravenously follows the whims of top management as 'hip' and mere players are referred to as scrubs and considered not worthy to make suggestions or criticize.

Go to any popular MMO forum and criticize any portion of the games supposed backstory, and prepare for the waterfall of developer lead fanboy rage in response.

There are various tropes baked into this culture. All the 'bros' know that universally pet classes must always be second class citizens. Don't overlook how pay to win, and lottery style 'mystery boxes' that asian cultures are so fond of, almost overnight became fixtures in almost every online game now.

maked00··on Cyprus Bailout: Stupidity, Short-Sightedness, Something Else?
We are. The laws have been passed. Our (US) savings are now up for grabs. In return, you get some worthless stock.
maked00··on Cyprus Bailout: Stupidity, Short-Sightedness, Something Else?
As we speak, laws are/were passed here in the US that will make it ok for predatory banks to confisticate your savings and give you some worthless stock in exchange.

It's open season on savers now.

maked00··on Contemporary dance performance about gender at European Rails Conference
Contemporary dance is to now what 'modern dance' was to the 50s and 60s, just bad dancers putting on really bad productions everyone wants to forget as soon as possible.
maked00··on J.J. Abrams, Valve in talks for game and Half-Life or Portal film
I can save them a few hundred million bucks, mix in McGuffins every few paragraphs, wrap things up with a shaggy dog ending. Include gratuitous explosions, car/plane/train crashes, and rescue the chick, puppy, small children between McGuffins.
maked00··on Former Microsoft executive says Ballmer culls internal rivals to retain power
Well duh. Find one CEO of any Fortune 500 company who does not.
maked00··on Aaron Swartz & A Culture of Denial: Depression & Suicide in Tech
Public efforts regarding Mental Health have been almost completely obliterated by the 1% in their greedy rush to take everything. MH is at the heart of this sick young man's tradgedy and the ever more frequent serial killings.

I don't buy all the victim scenarios for this fellow. He was smart, he knew what he was getting into. He knew attacking the established status quo would have dire consequences. He had plenty of opportunities to change his path to a less risky one. He knew going into this that to challenge these people would bring concrete and powerful counter attacks aimed at him.

What he did not know was how to cope with depression, how and were to get help, and was too ingrained with the imposed taboos to seek help.

maked00··on Cory Doctorow: RIP, Aaron Swartz
So where can I get my Aaron Swartz t-shirt?
maked00··on Aaron Swartz commits suicide
This kid had it all, fame, fortune, brains.

So what we wrong? Why was he so unhappy?

maked00··on The Worst-run Big City In The US
That kind of money is tiddlywinks for city's and states, the real ongoing scam is what is called the 'capital expenditure budgets' of these orgnizations. Massive sums of money, that tend to go no-bid, or fixed bid contracts with the authorities buddies. Services to constituents get cut, but the capital exp. budget never gets cut, it is always increased.
maked00··on Video games and sleep loss
Idiots at work here. Subjective questionairres are always a total waste of time. They should have given participants a performance test of some kind. I will wager the gamers would perform as good or better than the non-gamers.
maked00··on CEOs Don’t Come Pre-Made. Authentic Leadership Has To Be Learned
The last thing and skill that 99% of today's fascist corporate CEO's want to do is practice leadership. Their main skill is the con. Conning their way into their positions, and then using the resulting power to eliminate any potential rivals. That is what 99% of today's CEO spend their time on. Talking about leadership is kind of like salving their ego's to convince themselves they provide any value at all to the social equation.
maked00··on Google acquires BufferBox (YC S12)
a) Huge risk that USPS grabs this idea and run with it b) Perfect MO for terrorists
maked00··on The Troubling Dean-to-Professor Ratio
I think it is rather laughable all the tea party kooks here stepping up to justify this kind of bloated top heavy organization. Little wonder US universities are headed south in terms of the quality of their grads. All part of the same sports virus infects all of US education. It it makes money, it gets priority. No wonder US education costs are so high, yet teachers and students get shafted.
maked00··on The Troubling Dean-to-Professor Ratio
Wow that is almost, but not quite as bad as the Memphis City School system, which has more administrators per student than any school system on the planet.
maked00··on Einstein's list of conditions for staying together with his wife
Poor guy, sounds like he married his mom. She must have been a real harpy. All perfectly reasonable requests.
maked00··on "Your criticisms are completely wrong": Stallman on software patents
The fashion industry does just fine without patents. Plenty of innovation and investment and profits going on there. Fashion relies on trademarks, not patents. Huge difference. We all lose when ideas/knowledge is monopolized or taxed by the few.
maked00··on "Your criticisms are completely wrong": Stallman on software patents
Anyone who doubts the validity of getting rid of software patents need look no further than the fashion industry. Fashion cannot be patented, and there seems to be plenty of innovation and a flourishing business in that sector. The only thing that is appropriate in fashion is trademarks. It is just a bad idea to allow anyone to tax or monopolize ideas.
maked00··on US patent chief to software patent critics: "Give it a rest already"
Patents are evil. They are simply a way for predatory one percenters and lawyers to steal from society.

Look at the fashion industry. Thriving and innovating, with 0 patents.

Trademarks Yes / Patents No

maked00··on The Horrible Future of Social
Way to go, I am sure some crass go getter is staking this concept out as we speak.
maked00··on Is it better to turn up the volume in the software or on the speakers?
Stupid idiot answers all.

Volume should always be controlled as close to the source as possible. Anything else is simply inefficient and a waste of processing power.

There is no reduction of bit depth. total hoo-eee.

maked00··on The Case for Abolishing Patents (Yes, All of Them)
The fashion industry does quite well thank you WITHOUT patents. Check it out. No patents in fashion. The most you can do is copyright a logo and slap that on your product. The rest is open season, and we all are the richer for it. Patents only make lawyers rich at the expense of the rest of us (the 99%).
maked00··on Rick Falkvinge: Why free speech is harmed by the ban on child porn
Sorry but the pro arguments are rather silly and far fetched. The last time I checked witnessing a crime is not a crime. Child Porn is just wrong. There is no legitimate reason for it to exist. It is taboo for a number of reasons, not the least of which is is perpetrated against defenseless children.
maked00··on Introducing Tent - the decentralized social web
To a normal person, this article is just a collection of fuzzy well meaning ideas wrapped around a bunch of technical network jaron. The fact that there is no working demo is rather damming.
maked00··on The Bozo Event Horizon
I have seen the effect of an appointed organization head, hiring and promoting only those less competent than them selves. Even after the head retires, the infected organization may take a lifetime to recover.

The whole Jobs A thing is just pure BS ego speaking.
