If you build your own reviewer layer/tool it will burn a ton of tokens. Millions of tokens of input.

Just a data point, I have a $800 watch (Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire) that has a built in LED flashlight, including a red hue. I bought it to have backup GPS in off grid situations and for health and activity tracking, but tbh the feature I would never want to give up is the flashlight. I use it all the time and it’s, frankly, invaluable. I’m not sure if other smart watches have good flashlights, but they should. I almost never use my phone flashlight as a result.
look_lookatme··on Cold brew coffee in 3 minutes using acoustic cavitation
Starbucks cold brew is actually not bad as far as cold brews go. It’s definitely not iced coffee.
look_lookatme··on Cold brew coffee in 3 minutes using acoustic cavitation
I agree. Bought a flat of it a couple of months ago and haven’t drank more than half of them.

look_lookatme··on U.S. declares more than 20 species extinct after exhaustive searches
Hunting laws in general vary state by state but for the most part you can’t just go out and kill any random thing flying around. There generally has to be some sort of formal designation that a species can be hunted. Otherwise don’t kill it.
look_lookatme··on Tenderjit – A JIT for Ruby Written in Ruby
Right now is an exceptionally good time to be a Ruby developer. There are so many jobs that pay well and the Stripes and the Shopifys of the world are eating all the great talent up.
look_lookatme··on NYC major crime complaints fell when cops took a break from ‘proactive policing’
An important addendum is that if you leave any part of the knife exposed (such as knife on the inside of pocket, but clip on the outside) that is considered "brandishing" and can trigger a stop by the police. This is a common pretext for a stop and frisk.

When I lived there I switched to a Case folding knife so I wouldn't accidentally run afoul of this law.

No joke I have switched to Apple Music because I feel Spotify in CarPlay is legitimately dangerous due to how broken it is.
look_lookatme··on Squatting or Kneeling May Be Beneficial for Health
I would like to get better at kneeling in this position for prolonged periods of time for canoeing purposes, do you have any suggestions? Is there a range of movements that help or is really just a matter of practicing kneeling in that position.
look_lookatme··on A Bit Overcomplicated
A lot of software development is just "executing recipes" and there's nothing wrong with that: https://youtu.be/Nb2tebYAaOA?t=1363
look_lookatme··on The global chip shortage is starting to have consequences
Couple of notes. Length numbers are more like 10-15 inches different between generations if you account for trim configurations. Single cab trucks just aren’t sold anymore which is separate from this discussion. The Taco is also more narrow than an F150 which I think is relevant to this discussion.
look_lookatme··on The global chip shortage is starting to have consequences
Not to mention that a full sized F150 is less than an inch wider than one from 25 years ago. What people see when they see truck size is vertical size and hood lines which is what has changed the most. Trucks look much bigger now, which is partly aesthetics and partly for safety, but I think people have internalized a belief that they have grown outward too, which is not the case.

They need to get this removed ASAP
look_lookatme··on Metal monolith found by helicopter crew in Utah desert
Because ghoulish influencers are already swarming it and publishing to Instagram or whatever looking for likes. Nothing good comes of that.
look_lookatme··on The Nordic concept of friluftsliv – outdoor life
Also in the Northeast and take advantage of this occasionally. I took a hunter safety course recently and they hammer it in that this model is changing as more and more land is bought by people moving to these areas from places that don't have this custom or land gets passed to generations that don't share this ideal or don't want to bother with people on their land (many times for good reasons).

I personally love it and would probably never post my land, but I feel like it is one of those nice things that can be described as "just the way we did things back then" that won't last much longer.

I live in New England and a bunch of people have moved up here from all over. I'm most curious about how they handle it getting dark at 4pm and everything being closed by 9.
look_lookatme··on Women equal men in computing skill, but are less confident
I'm talking about the united states, but if we are talking global shares:

Early childhood education is over 90% female teachers. Primary school education is 70%-95 female teaechers. Secondary education is 60-75% female teachers.

I don't know Florence Nightengale has to do with this discussion.

As a percentage of new nurses it is true that more males are going into nursing, but many of the traditionally male working class jobs have disappeared in the United States. This alone could account for the increase in male nurses over the last 10 years, though I do think it is also cultural to some degree. The numbers we are talking about are like 15% of new nurses being male instead of 5%. I would be surprised if this growth doesn't level off in the next decade and hold steady for decades to come.

look_lookatme··on Women equal men in computing skill, but are less confident
Aren't nursing and teaching essentially 90% female?

It is my understanding that vitamin K2 should be taken with vitamin D in order to mitigate calcium overload. I do not know what the appropriate dosages between the two are, however, and I just pop one with the other every other day.
look_lookatme··on Court dismisses Genius lawsuit over lyrics-scraping by Google
Let's not forget that at one point Genius launched a product that would scrape your site, re-host it, then overlay comments on it -- 100% without your control.
