I'm very nervous/excited about the live hacking. Eek.
I lucid dream far more often, probably once a week. I agree that it's nowhere near as frightening but I find it to be unpleasant as well. It's not very fun to stay dreaming when I know I'm awake.
It's funny but the movie Inception really helped me with my lucid dreams. Falling (in my dreams) will wake me up. I double-check that I'm actually dreaming by flying first (aw yeah, I can fly in my dreams - kind of like swimming in the air). So I'll often wake up by flying high into the sky and then falling to the ground.
I used the website to order a task ahead of time - delivering a burrito to my boyfriend on Valentine's Day! The coolest part was being able to watch the delivery happen in real-time on my iPhone (super cool).
It was an adjustment for me to think of an everyday task that I could outsource. In general, I think that if people can make the mental switch, Exec will be a game changer.
Just make sure that you sent "Send me summary e-mails" to "Never". Hope that helps!
My instinct is that there's a scale from Facebook -> Twitter -> GitHub in the services that our target audience uses (less nerdy -> more nerdy).
Since GitHub performed better than Twitter (by a significant amount, although that's debatable) then I feel that the Facebook end of that scale isn't worth even testing at all. Instead, it would be more useful to try services on the GitHub end of the scale, such as OpenID or maybe something more novel like BitBucket, Heroku, Dribbble etc.
That said, there's definitely room for both protocols and I could see supporting XMPP as well at some point.
Thanks for reporting these specific issues. We'll work on getting them fixed.
Update: I've made a few tweaks and it should be better now. fingers crossed
When walking around alone in SF, I'm actually irrationally afraid of getting hit by a car and nobody knowing what happened to me. So yeah, if this is what happened that would be terrible and one of my worst nightmares come true.
Tracy could have left the bar like her co-workers assumed, only to have some sort of medical emergency (heart attack? Seizure? Hit by a car?).
Convore co-founder here.
The company, Convore, is still very much alive and well.
However, we're currently working on a new, but related, product (https://grove.io/). We're still alpha testing it with a few users, but hope to have it out there soon.
Grove is a little more developer-focused, and my co-founders really wanted to work on a mainstream project. So yes, the Erics left Convore to start a new project, Can't Wait!, an iPhone app for watching new movie trailers.
That being said, the Convore iPad app by jazzychad is fantastic. jazzychad is a really smart guy and an excellent developer and I hope he has a great time working at Twilio (a pretty cool company themselves). I predict the future for jazzychad will be bright. :D
Probably just searching for a damn pickle.
I think it would be cool to try out something like the game Balderdash. Have the participants select the correct use of the word by selecting the appropriate usage within a sentence?
Also, who actually remembers what they scored on the verbal part of the SAT??
