From what I’ve read online Ndrangheta are much more powerful than the mafia in Italy.
lawgimenez··on Italian parliament votes for return to nuclear energy
In my country, we also have a dormant nuclear plant because of Chernobyl and political reasons.

lawgimenez··on GPT-6 Sol and Luna
I purchased mine using Apple's in-app subscription. I just checked and it is still there.
lawgimenez··on Codex Security
Is this the same plugin found in Codex? @codex Security?
lawgimenez··on The Strongest El Niño Ever
I live in the Southeast Asia, so this El Nino event is worrying. It also means drought and super typhoons.
lawgimenez··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (July 2026)
I’m a parent of an autistic kid and signed up. Hope to get early access soon.

lawgimenez··on Why I email complete strangers
I only have my email in my app, no social media or whatever. And received a lot of kind emails from users, issues they found, feature requests.

It is really something and I'm very grateful for their emails.

lawgimenez··on No, everyone is not using AI for everything
Yeah it comes with Xcode 27
lawgimenez··on Not everyone is using AI for everything
Well Apple just released a bunch of Agent Skills. I tried it on my macOS apps and I noticed some improvements codewise and updated some deprecations I didn’t know existed in Swift.
lawgimenez··on Human Routers of Machine Words
> because if you use AI to write, you are a waste of biomass

Damn, that is so hurtful. I'm sorry if English is my third language. But for my project documents I would love to read it like a proper documentation so I'm thankful for AI.

lawgimenez··on Leaving Mozilla
Thanks for the explanation, and thank you for your work at Mozilla. I guess what I'm saying is that I wish Mozilla could have just focused on the browser.
lawgimenez··on Leaving Mozilla
I think Mozilla started getting nuts the day they ventured with Firefox OS. To this day, I am still kind of confused with that move.
lawgimenez··on Building from zero after addiction, prison, and a felony
I’ve been > 20 years sober. For me it was just music. I’m obsessed with a band who preaches sobriety in their lyrics and lifestyle.
lawgimenez··on 7.8 magnitude earthquake shakes part of southern Philippines. Tsunami possible
I'm in Northern Cebu, never felt it. I guess you are in the city.
lawgimenez··on 7.8 magnitude earthquake shakes part of southern Philippines. Tsunami possible
It's now confirmed that the Cotabato Trench caused the earthquake. It's scary that this trench has been moving a lot lately during the past few years.
lawgimenez··on The worst job interview I ever had
I also had a remote interview for an Australian agency company. I went to their website and it was all Australian folks, name, photos, etc. Their website also has a video of them working inside the office, having a meeting.

When I joined the call it was just a couple of Indian persons, with the video resolution of one fella so low, it was hard to make up his face. The other one was a female which did not turned on her camera for reasons she mentioned something she was sick and don't like turning it on.

I had lots of remote interview, but this one is just borderline creepy.

lawgimenez··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (May 2026)
I’m currently working on an API-first identity verification backend built with FastAPI. It is made for handling ID documents, selfies, OCR data, biometric signals, API keys, webhooks, and tenant billing data.

Hopefully I can find an investor in the future, still in the early stages.

lawgimenez··on I bought Friendster for $30k – Here's what I'm doing with it
Would love to take a crack on this on Android
lawgimenez··on I spent 6 years building my Kanban as I hated how managers run the boards
I remembered one project I added over 20 items and then GitHub’s Kanban started freaking out. Never did I used it since. Trello was great but got heavier too with all those fancy stuffs and colors.

I’m still in the lookout for a great kanban software though.

lawgimenez··on GPT-5.5
And they're having an outage right now.
lawgimenez··on Claude Opus 4.7
It’s for Pro users only, I think the 2x is up to May 31.
lawgimenez··on Codex Hacked a Samsung TV
I use Codex a lot, it does not talk that way like "wait, actually".
lawgimenez··on We've raised $17M to build what comes after Git
First time I heard of gitbutler, is this like gitk? If anyone remembers gitk

And destroyed a school full of children too.
lawgimenez··on Why the US Navy won't blast the Iranians and 'open' Strait of Hormuz
There are videos on r/combatfootage in the early weeks, patriot missiles shooting down drones.
lawgimenez··on Why the US Navy won't blast the Iranians and 'open' Strait of Hormuz
USA “flattened” and invaded Afghanistan but decades after Taliban is just back again.

I don’t know, maybe it’s time for USA to just stop getting involved in wars.

lawgimenez··on Iran oil revenue soars as it's the only exporter out of Hormuz
Of course, that’s what US will do to its old allies.
lawgimenez··on Iran oil revenue soars as it's the only exporter out of Hormuz
Tanker from Russia arrived here in Philippines, and it seems we will be getting oil from Russia now. Major geopolitical failure by the US.
