No, no, I also remember 3.5 -> 4 and the general sentiment was that it was underwhelming. I guess we all expected absolute miracles from the models. I think our expectations sobered up a little since then.
What is actually perfect, when the automated voice declares the call is being recorded, you don't have to do it again. You're legally allowed to record, because both parties were informed already and agree to it.
I am getting to know Hermes agent and in the last couple of days I used it for searching the web for medical specialists or finding the best deal for a product online, manipulate with excel and word documents, gather data from APIs, finding stuff in my computer or keeping track of itself running in another process and keep the computer awake and when detecting the process is finished, put computer to sleep.
I use AI to research different options when buying. Eg, I used Google Search AI Mode to search for specific t-shirts with specific attributes. And I found what I was looking for and bought it.
Thanks to AI I did not have to parse through a lot of different vendors and different webpages manually.
Same. When I iterate on a design for a new client, I create a simple index.html with inline CSS and when I'm satisfied with the result I take the file and insert it next to my project template files and just ask the LLM to take the design from index.html and work it in the template files.
But, if the information is factual, does it matter if it is designed and coded by Claude? I was interested in information, not really the website design.
Yeah protective case helps A LOT. I've broken two phones basically two weeks from buying them by dropping them on the floor before I put them in protective case. Costly mistakes, I don't do them anymore. Nowadays I buy the case together with the phone.
I don't know if it's just my luck, I never drop my phone, but when I buy new, I'm guaranteed to drop it several times a day for the first two weeks of owning it. The protective case is a phone saver
I need to extract article content, determine it's sentiment towards a keyword and output a simple json with article name, url, sentiment and some text around the found keyword.
Currently I'm having problems with the json output, it's not reliable enough and produces a lot of false json.
Nice! I was also thinking about e-reader with LLM support to discuss topics of the book I'm reading with, explain words or phrases (I'm not a native English reader) and so on. But this seems too troublesome to install and does not have a mobile app - I want to read books on the go, not really in front of my computer. Do you think it's possible to make it phone friendly and easier to install?
It's hard not to give a smartphone to a kid if you have to work or just can't spend a lot of time with the kid. Kids are demanding of time and attention. So either you have enough time or you pay someone to play with your kid or you have to endure a lot of chaos a kid without a smartphone and a lot of time without attention can do (from screaming and crying to wreaking havoc in your household). Or you give them smartphone and they keep quiet and still and you can do what you need to do.
For a non native English speaker the "translation" is much more readable and can convey more information to me. The old text is kind of comprehensible to me, but I have to read really slow, re-read parts and think a lot to understand.
I mean, if this should happen to me, I want to undergo euthanasia as soon as possible. If I am already dead, I don't want to unnecessarily suffer. So my question is, did he not want the euthanasia or was it not "accepted" or why he had to suffer so much?
I don't know from where you are, but in my country this is considered generally a bad or not safe idea. When you send money directly to someone, if they are fraudsters, it is very hard to get that money back. On the other hand, it's generally easier when you paid with your debit card. And even easier and safer if it was a credit card.
