kinakomochidayo··on The Promise of 5-MeO-DMT
I never imagined being able to vomit without the nausea, so that’s pretty interesting hah
kinakomochidayo··on The Promise of 5-MeO-DMT
I think it’d be counterproductive to stop the nausea, when nausea is an integral part of the Ayahuasca process of letting go, in addition to crying, yawning, sweating, etc. I just listen to my body and let it do its thing; sometimes I need to purge, sometimes I don’t need to purge.
kinakomochidayo··on US drug control agency will move to reclassify marijuana
actually, psychedelics help people get in touch with their core issues like childhood traumas which cause people to turn to drugs, games, overeating, etc, and help alleviate PTSD, OCD, etc. psychedelics are anti-addiction.

so we definitely need psychedelics rescheduled.

kinakomochidayo··on US drug control agency will move to reclassify marijuana
Great, let psychedelics be reclassified next
kinakomochidayo··on Bitcoin Block 840000
Lightning Network design is horrible, and it's literally impossible to onboard millions of users without increasing the L1 blocksize to an absurd amount.

The world will likely move onto using rollups on other chains like Ethereum instead, which scale better, and pays gas to validators to get included into the blocks.

Seems like the Bitcoin community is looking into rollups on Bitcoin, but it'll be impossible to get trustless Bitcoin on them, even with BitVM, without a hardfork.

kinakomochidayo··on Ethereum has blobs. Where do we go from here?
Eventually, statelessness will help increase gas limit on L1.

However, Ethereum L1 is supposed to be the settlement layer for rollups, and high security requirement transactions, not for shitcoin trading.

Recursive rollups (L3s,L4s) have also been talked about for years now, and it should be pursued; that's how you can increase transaction throughput and decrease fees with the magic of zk.

> What even is the elevator pitch use case of all this?

> It's a full-stack replacement for large parts of "centralized tech"

Anti-censorship, permissionless data that lasts longer than centralized companies..?

kinakomochidayo··on Ethereum has blobs. Where do we go from here?
As far as I know, Optimism has fraud proofs on Sepolia testnet right now
kinakomochidayo··on Ethereum has blobs. Where do we go from here?
That's odd, Blackrock just created the BUIDL tokenized fund on Ethereum. Seems like there's definitely a use for it.

kinakomochidayo··on Ethereum has blobs. Where do we go from here?
It'll come down even more as blobs are increased, and PeerDAS is implemented
kinakomochidayo··on Developmental timing of trauma associated with depressive symptoms in adulthood
Sorry to hear that.. I'm not sure how your set, setting and dosage was, but it also seems like most psychedelics aren't good for people with schizophrenia, bipolar and suicidal tendencies. It's definitely not for everyone.
kinakomochidayo··on Developmental timing of trauma associated with depressive symptoms in adulthood
I wonder how spiritual experiences resulting from psychedelics fit into this.

I have a long history of childhood traumas, but ever since using Ayahuasca and other psychedelics, I've gained a much more positive outlook in life, and have improved my life significantly since.

kinakomochidayo··on Spot Bitcoin ETF receives official approval from the SEC
Ethereum has a perpetual buy back mechanism via burning and staking currently gives about 2.7% a year without MEV
kinakomochidayo··on Flare, a video sharing site built on Nostr
Naw, because LN non-custodial UX sucks, and custodial wallets are being disabled in the US.
kinakomochidayo··on Flare, a video sharing site built on Nostr
Nostr is only popular with Bitcoin maxis. Nobody else cares about Nostr.
kinakomochidayo··on Bitcoin Core 26.0
It’s actually pretty easy to run Ethereum nodes. Also, statelessness and verkle trees will enable Ethereum to be validated on cell phones eventually. That’s not going to happen with Bitcoin.

Also, funny to see Bitcoiners talk about running censoring client implementations for Ordinals.

kinakomochidayo··on BitVM: Compute Anything on Bitcoin [pdf]
You’re missing my original point - it’s increasingly expensive for increasingly complex logic to be used for anything practical
kinakomochidayo··on BitVM: Compute Anything on Bitcoin [pdf]
The costs involved in getting this to work would be way too expensive.

It's a fascinating trick, but not realistic for any practical use.

kinakomochidayo··on Three Arrows Capital co-founder Zhu arrested in Singapore airport
Bitcoin has a critical issue looming with the security budget, as each halvening means less revenue for miners, and miners don’t get enough transaction fees to incentivize running ASIC mining farms.
kinakomochidayo··on Three Arrows Capital co-founder Zhu arrested in Singapore airport
Well, more like it’s no longer p2p after the 2017 hard fork and people are being pushed to use Lightning which centralizes over time through hub and spoke model, and many people prefer to use custodial wallets.
kinakomochidayo··on Three Arrows Capital co-founder Zhu arrested in Singapore airport
Just getting started with cryptocurrency I would say. Bitcoin Spot ETFs decisions being delayed by SEC, Ether Futures ETFs were just approved by SEC. Crypto will likely be part of our everyday lives eventually, we just won’t know it.
kinakomochidayo··on MDMA and the Quest for Connection in a Fractured World
There are some pretty prominent voices like Dr Gabor Mate who think that ADHD stems from stressful family life/structure and/or traumas growing up.

I myself was diagnosed with ADHD, and psychedelics healed me and my past to the point where I no longer needed prescribed stimulants, so it’s possible that MDMA could help.

kinakomochidayo··on California moves to decriminalize use of magic mushrooms, other psychedelics
It’s pretty well known that people can develop psychological dependence on cannabis.

Psychedelics have anti-addiction effects, and it might’ve helped you quit cannabis sooner, even give you insight into why it happened in the first place (potentially numbing of some underlying emotional pain)

kinakomochidayo··on California moves to decriminalize use of magic mushrooms, other psychedelics
What I meant is that it could potentially help people who are at high risk of getting into addictions, and depending on that addiction, one that could lead to homelessness. And as far as I know, I don't know any therapies/medications that work over a period of 6-48 hours to stop addictions. I have heard of some meth/opiate addicts who, by some luck or connection, had opportunities to try Iboga/Ibogaine, and some completely overcame it, and some relapsed.

I didn't even have any history of doing therapy, but one dose of LSD on my own was enough to completely change my perspective, stop substances, and get me on the path of living healthy. Without it, I probably would've gone down a very dark path few years later; I might not even be alive today.

Psychedelics != Opiates and Meth

Personally for me, it helped me quit alcohol, cannabis, and even alleviated my diagnosed ADHD permanently so I quit taking my prescribed stimulant medications. I used it in a therapeutic environment, not with friends or at a party.

After numerous Ayahuasca ceremonies, turns out my traumas/upbringing led to the addictions in the first place.

kinakomochidayo··on California moves to decriminalize use of magic mushrooms, other psychedelics
Psychedelics have anti-additive effects. Common ones like LSD, mushrooms, Ayahuasca have helped many people quit cigarettes, alcohol, and the stronger ones like Iboga help people get off of meth and opiates. Based on what you’ve said, you would actually support this.
kinakomochidayo··on Marijuana addiction: those struggling often face skepticism
You’d actually be surprised how many people have experienced various forms of trauma since they were infants and just don’t remember it, due to their defense mechanisms, and naturally gravitate towards substances and other addictive activities like gaming and porn to suppress past and present emotional pain.
kinakomochidayo··on Oregon decriminalized hard drugs – early results aren’t encouraging
Mandate drug recovery programs for opioid/stimulant and various hard drugs.

Legalize psychedelics and promote anti-addiction and therapy programs using psychedelics such as Iboga, Ayahuasca and Psilocybin.

kinakomochidayo··on Marijuana addiction: those struggling often face skepticism
Curious if you had any traumas or dysfunctional family environment. Addiction usually stems from numbing of traumas.
