kandruszkow··on Ask HN: What is the most unique website you’ve come across on the internet?

We've created BOWWE on the foundation of clean code and top-notch SEO so all the projects created later within will rank high in search engines. At BOWWE, we usually use relative positioning, making it easier for search engines to understand the content on a page, increasing its chances of ranking well in SERPs.

Apart from that, we monitor our users' sites and prepare SEO reports. I can tell you that right now, our clients' site results are typically between 87% -100% in Ahrefs and Pingdom (we also have our own stats that allow users to track their site results regularly).

But we also plan to increase our SEO efforts even more, this year.

Thanks! We really took care of the tool so I more of you will like it hahahha

Ohh, cool to know users are already here :D

Yeah, my main goal is to provide the product that users want and that's how it all started.

Our main goal now is to release eCommerce. (We plan on it sometime around March-May) but other ideas and general direction we want to go for is on the open road map (https://app.loopedin.io/bowwe)

Edit: Feel free to suggest anything

kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Covid caught you? – How has pandemic changed your business or career?
Agreed, we both noticed this as well. Although pandemic allowed us to develop a few exciting side projects, productivity run slowly from time to time.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: What's the best books for startup enterpreneurs?
"Zero to One" by Peter Thiel and Blake Masters (https://www.amazon.com/Zero-One-Paperback-Peter-Thiel/dp/B00...) and "The Unfair Advantage" by Ash Ali and Hasan Kubba (https://www.amazon.com/The-Unfair-Advantage/dp/1788167546/re...) are pretty interesting reads
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: What are your biggest goals for 2022?
Speed up my business. I've built my own web builder (bowwe.com) over the years and started to do business on it. The end of 2021 was yet the most successful period for my team, we sold a lot and ran a successful campaign, so I hope to start 2022 on the same foot. And then, to also introduce eCommerce to the web builder..
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: How do you time innovative ideas?
By looking at gaps and listening to people. If you hear their complaints and see what are they looking for, what are they missing and what features they would like to see in already existing products, then you will be able to add your two cents and build something people are looking for and at the time they need it.

It's ok. We are open to every comment on our tool. We want to see what should develop in BOWWE to make it even better.

The first difference I see, we don't just focus on a website/landing page builder. In BOWWE you can also create a Micro Page, Portfolio or CV. We focus on delivering a solution that will enable every user to make his brand stand out. We don't want our clients’ website to just look pretty, we want it to be effective.

In BOWWE, you can create any website from scratch. You can also build from predefined sections or Raw templates - so it's super fast to make it, and if you define your UI KIT in BOWWE, sections and all of the elements will adjust automatically to your branding. Every way of building in BOWWE allows you to develop a complete website with great SEO. Every project is also automatically responsive.

We have over 200+ templates and more than 570+ ready-made widgets, sections and blocks. You can create even more advanced elements with BOWWE widgets, and with the "Embed code" widget, you are almost not limited (BOWWE cannot be limited - it has to be a real builder, not a limited configurator).

All of the above - that's why building BOWWE took 7.5 years for our team (currently 34 people), not ~ 2 years like other builders/configurators. That's why we have a completely different foundation (solid) and, for example, we can have a Web and Mobile App Builder without changing anything in BOWWE We build an environment for business and personal development on the Internet, such applications as CRM, eCommerce, booking engines, and many others.

Additionally, you also get access to Honaro (Honaro is an international business social network that connects consumers, employees and companies) applications that allow you to grow your business even better.

Generating the code according to the rules of programming - many builders went the easy way path, and adding elements is done using position absolute, which ultimately obstructs the relationship between different page elements and thus kills its positioning! Believe me, it is much easier to build such a builder, and it seems that everything is as it should be ... At BOWWE, you create the code like a software developer.

Glad to hear that! Hope you will keep an eye on BOWWE. Feel free to try out our website builder in practice. We are constantly developing here you can see our road map: https://app.loopedin.io/bowwe

Some of the things that make BOWWE stand out:

- inbuilt SEO plugin

- free hosting service

- Code; it's very clean which makes websites position way higher in all search engines and making it easier to be noticed

- not only every single template can be edited but also every single widget and element of a website (changes in the template don't disintegrate it, so you can freely and without fear modify it)

- clients' projects achieve very high positions in search engines (in AHREFS and Pingdom, the results are usually 87-100%)

We have big plans and every single day we are working on new features. Here you can see our road map: https://app.loopedin.io/bowwe

Thank you for your question.

Sure, I will answer your question! Yeah, there are many great website builders, no doubt. We’ve started developing BOWWE after hearing a few complaints about other websites and wanted to step in with our solutions. Primarily, we developed BOWWE with a thought to allow no coders to build their own website (although anybody can use it ;) ) We wanted to make BOWWE super simple with its drag-and-drop interface and professional templates so users can quickly create top-ranking web pages using premade sections and more. You can either build by choosing templates or use a website builder and develop your own. Also, you can edit every element of your site, duplicate single features and entire pages with the copy function, or even write out custom code to get technical if you like. There are tons of animations that you can use across your website, and it gives a very different touch to the whole experience. Moreover, we have built-in apps and continuous integrations combined with helpful marketing data analytics. Top-notch SEO, key integrations, customizable apps, and high-quality code.. all to prime your pages key positioning in search engines.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask..

I'm an author of this post and I wanted to share the product here to interest you with it and maybe collect some valuable feedback as well.

We’ve built BOWWE several years ago actually, with the aim to enable everyone to have equal and easy access to the benefits of an online presence. The goal of the project was to allow people to create websites quickly, even without programming skills. We’ve started BOWWE in 2013, after hearing a few complaints about current web builders, and decided to hop on the topic ourselves.

The tool enables for now, to build a website, landing&micro page, portfolio and online CVs within the drag&drop system.

Some features of the tool we introduced so far:

- NoCode Technology - The ability to create your own site without IT knowledge

- LowCode Technology - the possibility of adjusting the code to your own needs (HTML, CSS, and Javascript)

- High-quality code and SEO will prime key positioning in search engines for any projects created within

- The high responsiveness of the creator, so the pages work on all devices and are aesthetic thanks to Pixel Perfect technology.

PS. Share any of your insights with me. We are open to any criticism!

kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Consumer/sales psychology – any good recommendations?
Besides all of the already listed options I liked this one: "Decoding the New Consumer Mind: How and Why We Shop and Buy" by Kit Yarrow https://www.amazon.pl/Decoding-New-Consumer-Mind-Shop/dp/111...
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: What are you favourite books/podcasts/media on the history of computing?
Some good books on the topic are "The Soul of a New Machine" by Tracy Kidder or "The Second Self: Computers and the Human Spirit" by Sherry Turkle. As for the podcast, I’ve heard good things on "The Bits from Bytes History of Computing Podcast" by Richard Haynes.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Right now the demand for authenticity is already high. In the future, it will be even higher. Today is not that easy to create a product that is unique. It looks the developers will be needed more for developing and improving that kind of products.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Good point. But still, if that means that the profession of software developers will eventually disappear? I don't think so. Rather if they will be less needed they will have to just be more all-rounder.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Interesting. I didn't look at this from that perspective. Btw. did you have some authoring tools to recommend?
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Truth. Developers will always be needed and I don't think they'll ever get eliminated by no code tools. After all, someone has to create and develop these solutions. So it looks like programmers' jobs, responsibilities, and employment will gradually change. To be true these changes are already visible.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Right, I have to agree. Automatic cars are a good example.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Could I ask you to link these articles?
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
I'm doing research, thus wanting to see what others think of it. I tried to spark conversation to see where/when/who and for what purpose people can use it.. (when is the exact time to switch from no code to for example hiring a developer)
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
How about a Low Code option?
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Let's say it's a marketing campaign or a quick project. Do you think it's better to develop the website with code or use a web builder?
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: Is no-code a future of web development?
Can I ask you what type of projects you usually do?
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: I’m New to Computer Science and Engineering. Any Advice?
Don't expect to learn everything during the course (that applies to any degree to be honest), but I see so many young people settling on the knowledge they gain from courses and don't look further. Yeah, classes are great but they are not everything.
kandruszkow··on Ask HN: How do I deal with not being able to build products
Maybe it will help:

1. Find someone with whom you can share your goal/passion. It does not have to be a business partner right away. You will find a lot of communities on the web for people working on your project, for small start-up businesses, etc. Maybe it will give you some motivation.

2. Accept that there are tons of similar products globally, and some will be successful and some will not. Besides, even if a product on the market is similar to yours, it doesn't mean that you can't beat it.

3. Remember that the process of creating a product, introducing it to the market, and further development is complex and often takes a long time to get the results you want. Don't give up in the early stages!

4. Learn. Observe how creating products and introducing them to the market looks like for others. See what they fail to do and learn what they are doing right. It is also worth establishing closer contact with such people. You can get valuable advice from them (you may even find that some of them have had similar problems to yours).
