Show HN: Changing the Website Building Landscape
bowwe.com
bowwe.com
We’ve built BOWWE several years ago actually, with the aim to enable everyone to have equal and easy access to the benefits of an online presence. The goal of the project was to allow people to create websites quickly, even without programming skills. We’ve started BOWWE in 2013, after hearing a few complaints about current web builders, and decided to hop on the topic ourselves.
The tool enables for now, to build a website, landingµ page, portfolio and online CVs within the drag&drop system.
Some features of the tool we introduced so far:
- NoCode Technology - The ability to create your own site without IT knowledge
- LowCode Technology - the possibility of adjusting the code to your own needs (HTML, CSS, and Javascript)
- High-quality code and SEO will prime key positioning in search engines for any projects created within
- The high responsiveness of the creator, so the pages work on all devices and are aesthetic thanks to Pixel Perfect technology.
PS. Share any of your insights with me. We are open to any criticism!
So kindly ask: What's the reason why someone should be interested in your product?
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask..
- inbuilt SEO plugin
- free hosting service
- Code; it's very clean which makes websites position way higher in all search engines and making it easier to be noticed
- not only every single template can be edited but also every single widget and element of a website (changes in the template don't disintegrate it, so you can freely and without fear modify it)
- clients' projects achieve very high positions in search engines (in AHREFS and Pingdom, the results are usually 87-100%)
We have big plans and every single day we are working on new features. Here you can see our road map: https://app.loopedin.io/bowwe
Thank you for your question.
I am not trying to say your product is better or worse, just that I fail to see the differences and why I would choose yours over any other alternative.
The first difference I see, we don't just focus on a website/landing page builder. In BOWWE you can also create a Micro Page, Portfolio or CV. We focus on delivering a solution that will enable every user to make his brand stand out. We don't want our clients’ website to just look pretty, we want it to be effective.
In BOWWE, you can create any website from scratch. You can also build from predefined sections or Raw templates - so it's super fast to make it, and if you define your UI KIT in BOWWE, sections and all of the elements will adjust automatically to your branding. Every way of building in BOWWE allows you to develop a complete website with great SEO. Every project is also automatically responsive.
We have over 200+ templates and more than 570+ ready-made widgets, sections and blocks. You can create even more advanced elements with BOWWE widgets, and with the "Embed code" widget, you are almost not limited (BOWWE cannot be limited - it has to be a real builder, not a limited configurator).
All of the above - that's why building BOWWE took 7.5 years for our team (currently 34 people), not ~ 2 years like other builders/configurators. That's why we have a completely different foundation (solid) and, for example, we can have a Web and Mobile App Builder without changing anything in BOWWE We build an environment for business and personal development on the Internet, such applications as CRM, eCommerce, booking engines, and many others.
Additionally, you also get access to Honaro (Honaro is an international business social network that connects consumers, employees and companies) applications that allow you to grow your business even better.
Generating the code according to the rules of programming - many builders went the easy way path, and adding elements is done using position absolute, which ultimately obstructs the relationship between different page elements and thus kills its positioning! Believe me, it is much easier to build such a builder, and it seems that everything is as it should be ... At BOWWE, you create the code like a software developer.
