I don't think white collar vs blue collar comparison is necessarily better. There are heaps of ways to slice and dice data and this one of them. I'd argue that it's a rather interesting perspective.

Never really thought of this. I don't know much about colour blindness. We use visual means as much our sense of taste and smell to judge food. Are people with colour blindness more likely to eat food that's gone bad. Are they likely to consume inedible berries/mushrooms etc that the rest of us can recognise due to their colour?

It's indeed a very negative take on a pro-labour policy. Entrepreneurship doesn't equate to exploitation of workers. If your business depends on that then it's not a death by thousand paper cuts, rather a death by poor management. Germany has similar laws and it hasn't exactly become a 'business-backwater'.

We're building our first home with a local construction company down here in Australia. I remembered browsing house designs using a virtual 3d plan that enabled me to walk around the house. Your idea looked very similar. I found one example online and turns out they're using Matterport.

Is it because of the work culture being too focussed on long working hours and lack of annual leaves? I don't really have any data to back it up. Just wondering if it's getting worse.

This is something irrelevant but I thought I'd share an anecdote from a mate who worked for HP a long time ago. He worked on their driver software for their printers. In one of the assignment he was asked to rebrand the same software with another manufacturer's name (can't recall if it was Canon or Epson)! HP may have shared some printer technology with another company.

There is nothing new in this space. HP hasn't exactly been the beacon of customer satisfaction thanks to their restrictive policies. Most of these printers are probably made in similar factories (probably a handful of places), somewhere in China. I'd buy from a brand that offers more flexibility when it comes to ink/toner than anything else.

Who are the target user base for Raku? I remember writing some fun scripts in Perl more than decade ago when I was still in uni. I really liked the language. Is there any benefit for me as a data analyst to learn Raku over another language like Julia?

Thanks mate. I'm in Australia and have seen these products online. Most of of them have good reviews. Could I bother you with a few more questions?

1. Have you replaced the toner yet? Does it accept non-brand toners (like the ones from InkStation?)?

2. Does the printer come with a full toner? As it with 100% capacity or does it only come with 20 to 30% like some of the other brands?

3. Being a colour printer, does it work only with the black toner if don't need colour prints?

Has anyone used Kyocera or Lexmark laser printers? I was considering buying a laser printer and HP was on the bottom of my list to consider. Thanks to their action I can exclude that option.
